Never ever gonna happen here.

You're probably right.

I would imagine there would be a lot of work and cost involved getting the road surfaces up to scratch.

Pit stop locations. Arranging spectator viewpoints and many other things which would be needed to attract the motor sport followers.

Not exactly on the brink IMHO.

Yeah this is the same government that cancelled the MOTOGP because daddy does not like the promoter.  Can you really see the F1 circus landing here with this crowd in charge.  A lot of many has to be put up for this and thailand does not have it.

This will happen after they get the casino and teh track will tie in with the casino.

LOL

Much much more than Thailand.

You mix with the wrong people in Thailand then.

Don't think so, maybe you do?

Land of smoke and mirrors.

It won't, and doesn't actually need to happen....just saying it is enough to instill national pride and enhance popularity, which is the usual purpose of these "proposals".

How's the space program going, anyone ?

This is exactly what F1 DOES NOT need, yet another dreadful street circuit with a race that is just another procession with minimal overtaking.

Buriram is not F1 certified, and would require considerable changes to meet the FIA requirements. Newin said right from the off, he never intended it to host F1, as it was never worth the investment.

Thailand will never host an F1 race.

BRIC was designed and built to FIA Grade 1.

Newin's call to not host F1 but the circuit is there for it.

Let's hope it's not at Buriram with no accommodation within 50kms.

Would you like to do a search for accommodation in BuriRam?

There seems to be a large number of hotels and booking sites that seem to prove differently to you.

No, it isn't. Easy to google instead of spreading nonsense: https://thesportsgrail.com/explained-cost-to-host-an-f1-race-and-how-much-money-each-track-pays/

Saudi Arabia and Azerbaijan 55 million US dollars. Bahrain  $45 million Abu Dhabi and Hungary with $40 million Singapore and Australia, $35 million. Canada $30 million. Netherlands: $32million Spain: $25million Austria: $25million Britain: $25million Italy (Monza): $25million Japan: $25million

Mexico: $25million Brazil: $25million France: $22million

The nonsense is again on your side, as always😂🤗🤣

There might be a large number but not enough for even the MotoGP.

F1 would require much much more.

I genuinely think Samui would be a great location for a race - it's got almost everything needed: airport, hotels, scenery, less dodgy than Pattaya (missing a racetrack but street race could work)

Forgetting the Soi dogs

Sounds like a farcical Brit comedy about a multi-million dollar grift to sponsor an imaginary raceway.

Too bad Peter Sellers is gone, he made a great scoundrel.

Irresponsible. Thailand has an air pollution crisis.  Encouraging auto pollution  won.t help.

Why not? Thais are good in creating hubs👍

Can you imagine the couruption !! the Thai construction industry is not up to building a safe racing track  look at the present roads no compaction pot holes bridges collapse Thailand cannot achive the standars required so this is a waste of money !!

Since FIA will be involved you shouldn't be afraid of any potholes.🤗

Your figures have to multiplied by at least 5, because those contracts are running for at least 5 years.

Also you have to add the costs for developing infrastructure.

I reckon Baen Saeng is the go.

already run a street circuit race each year, track is FIA grade 3.... update it to grade 1.

close to Bangkok and Pattaya, Ideal location in my opinion.

They own 4 of the 20 competing cars.

Street circuits are 100% fenced off from the public during the race so not sure what you are dribbling on about.

Exactly - little people and commoners are not invited.
