Bet thats the only hotel who seemed to have an evacuation plan  good on them !!

I'm not a construction expert but I do have friends who are in the large scale construction business..

They tell me many safety features are ignored including the latest earthquake rules due to costs..

I cannot speak for any others, but I was very impressed with the professionalism of the staff in mine.  The kindness and generosity of the restaurants next door in opening their doors to provide some aircon and seats, whilst also bringing out bottles of water that were freely distributed, was very reassuring.  Sadly, disasters are very good in bringing out the best and worst in mankind.  I was fortunate to experience the better part but do know of other incidents around town that did not reflect well on some people.

Yep, land prices in lighter zones will increase.   Same happened after the tsunami, and the Bangkok flooding of 2011.

It would be good if you could share the hotel's name. This type of preparedness and professionalism really deseves a shout out amidst the negative stories.

Not only the BTS, but the Metros as well   ! Blue line goes from Bang Sue to Bkk, with an Entrance in Chatuchak Market  !
