I think this should be viewed as a positive post.

 

This woman has found somewhere she loves, compared with her own country and obviously her experience, though limited, creates paradise-type feelings. Don't deny her these feelings - maybe it will prove to be long-lasting, maybe not.

 

If she is able to live in Thailand legally and keep herself out of trouble, let her enjoy the life she has chosen - without the unnecessary accusations of being lazy!!

Good on her, the only problem I have is her telling everyone about her easy life and everyone should do the same, without telling people the process she went through to obtain the visa to remain here, how is she sustaining her lifestyle not everyone has the social media presence to be able to make a living, if she is "working " as a social media influencer is she registered to work ? Does she pay taxes here? You can make a good life for yourself here if you know all the facts, but things can just as easily go Pete Tong

Know many Brits who said the same as her.  Thailand was better life and fit for their lifestyle.

20 year Elite Visa? Then "she does not have go back".  I have heard this phrase many times "my forever home"?  That is until your next visa extension at Immigration. One is not guaranteed a long term stay in LOS.  It could end early so plan accordingly.

Let's see where she is in 10 years. In my experience Thailand is a trap for those who arrive early in life with the dream of making a career here. It's possible, don't get me wrong, but certainly a career as an influencer on Youtube cannot be anything that will last unless one is very lucky ... rock star lucky. 

 

What I have seen happen time and time again are guys who show up as young men (30's). Have stayed for several years on earnings that give them a living here (no way in the west), with a job, like English teacher and stayed for years later to find in their 50's that they have absolutely NO RETIREMENT prospects whatsoever. No pension, no 401k fund, no means of support in old age.
