What Thai visa is she on?

News flash working as a digital nomad is allowed ever since the start it existed... Secondly the 5 year DTV visa is almost existing a year already too... Most of the people working online nowadays all are down south, ever since covid i guess. North etc are deserted.

What Thai visa is she on?

  • BREAKING NEWS: Influencer Elizabeth Important has broken a fingernail.

  • I'm here for more than 30 years and have no intention to return home. Unfortunately I don't have a tiktok or youtube channel, but can I have my frontpage story anyway?

Let's see where she is in 10 years. In my experience Thailand is a trap for those who come early and try to make a career here. It's possible, don't get me wrong, but career as an influencer on Youtube cannot be anything that will last unless one is very lucky ... rock star lucky.

Clearly you just have no clue, and you like to project being more the issue. Clearly she is doing it to a certain level of success already as of being here and now also gotten some media attention from it.

Secondly even small influencers and channels easily can make 3-5K usd a month, if she saves and invest a decent part, she can take her life to whatever is next after that. You can even sell energy contracts to consumers remote nowadays.

People seem to be a bit stuck in time, the earnings for digital nomad work has gone up quite a bit in the most recent 5 years. It also became much more normal. We are not talking the early days of failure attempts with. travel blog type of people anymore, those are rare already.

If she has sponsorship deals for products and gets 10,000 views on average, even with a 0.01% conversion rate, she get's like 50 dollars per day if having this 1 tiktok real of whatever daily. Like a VPN signup with yearly payment can get you up to 200 dollars a lead.

Enjoy the honeymoon Dearie.

Culture shock typically occurs in four stages:

  1. Honeymoon Stage – Everything feels exciting and new; differences are charming.
  2. Frustration Stage – Differences become frustrating; feelings of homesickness, irritation, and confusion arise.
  3. Adjustment Stage – Gradual adaptation; things start making sense, and routines develop.
  4. Acceptance Stage – Full adaptation; the new culture feels more familiar, even if some differences remain.

So I guess elite visa is next , otherwise stay in Thailand 9 months under tourist visa

How brave of her to become such a pioneer.

I wouldn't be surprised if other British white explorers joined her.

Still in the Honeymoon Stage.

You've missed my point. How long will it last? Show me somebody who has had a long and steady career as a Youtube influencer/blogger etc..

Here's my prediction -- she will:

1) Run out of material for her channel 2) find ever increasing competition from others that see her videos and want to do the exact same thing. 3) will probably not invest the money and even if she did, by some miracle, she was able to bank and invest $3k USD a month for 10 years, that's still not that much money! She will go back to blightly with NO CAREER skills except for "influencer" or Youtube blogger. How does that look on a CV these days.

Now, digital nomads that are expert programmers, web front end designers, IT professionals (like myself) who actually make real money have a better chance.

THIS ALL MAY BE AN APRIL FOOLS PRANK POST ANYWAY from Tiger

She mirrors that sentiment….strangely…

Has she bought shares in this site ?

She was asking questions the other day via tik tok clips on here. Looking for likes no doubt 🙄

Another who is living in lala land and no doubt attracting immigrations attention the more she posts online.

What I have seen happen time and time again are guys who show up as young men (30's). Have stayed for several years on earnings that give them a living here (no way in the west), with a job, like English teacher and stayed for years later to find in their 50's that they have absolutely NO RETIREMENT prospects whatsoever. No pension, no 401k fund, no means of support in old age.

Female version of Dan “about Thailand” Cheeseman.

Well done Claudia, go for it girl, only young once!

The Usual Narcisisstic effluencer  look at me  visa

I would like to know if she has a work permit, and also the kind of visa she entered with. If this story is for real then the practical issues of extensions of stay, 90 day reporting, and work permit renewal will all be part of her 'idyllic' life in Thailand, none of which are mentioned in this article. Further updates of how she is getting on would be of interest. Meantime I remain skeptical that she is nothing more than a tourist enjoying her time here for as long as it lasts, like most tourists.

What a vile and nasty post! Paying people the going rate and more is not exploiting poor people.
Many poor people who cook and clean and get paid are happy that they have an income and can feed and clothe their families.

What's amazing is that you have so little self awareness that you don't realise how obnoxious you actually are.

Nasty? We should all learn to do everything ourselves and not make others do our dirty work. Those Thai people could be running a company like CP or Singha Beer, yet this woman is forcing them to take meager pay to do her chores. I recall Henry Ford put all the rivets and bolts himself on his Model Ts, rather than exploit the poor people of Detroit by giving them jobs. If you cannot hire someone for a corner office VP job, then you're just exploiting them. Treat them with dignity and allow them to remain unemployed and hungry. A lesson to us all.

It's the same reason I never use taxis. How could I make someone else navigate Thailand's horrific traffic and dangerous roads? That's just blatant exploitation. Always drive myself. I also slaughter my own chickens, rather than make someone else collect bad karma by killing another living thing.

If I ever need open heart surgery, for example, I'll study up and do it myself at home, rather than exploit some poor guy who had to suffer through four years of med school, a few years of internship, and a few more of residency. How could I sleep at night if I offered someone work so that they could feed their family!

I should just come to Thailand and lord over people with my wealth and not contribute anything to the local economy or local citizens. Let them see how white people do things, like the guy to whom you responded seemingly behaves. Like him, I come here to be an example of greatness and show Thais what the acme of human achievement looks like. I'm not going to employ any of them. Geesh. How could I do that...offer people gainful employment. Just rude!

Assuming this is real, what's the problem? Why the criticism? I don't see her railing against the fat old expats who came and married former bargirls cashiers and now live in Thailand.

Not that I would or could do it, but this concept of being an "Influencer" is a new thing, largely a phenomenon peculiar to  Millennials, just as in my generation, the idea of being a hedge fund manager was new, and before me a code writer in COBOL. To each his or her own. Best of luck to her, and may she find the happiness many of us have found.

I wonder when she'll find out that if she marries a Thai guy, she can get citizenship in 3 years and stay the rest of her life unencumbered by visas.  Then she can tell all her female followers, "Come to Thailand, marry a Thai guy, and stay forever!"
Maybe I've found my own digital nomad niche:  hooking up Brit gals looking for the good life on an island in paradise who want to marry a Thai guy in order to "Stay In Paradise Forever!

True that.  I've no doubt she has no interest in old farang guys living in Thailand. However, I've no interest is any farang women regardless of age living in Thailand.  Especially the skinny variety with smaller knockers that my Thai wife.  Farang women are just a notch below Thai Ladyboys in my personal preference of "female" company.   <laughs>

(1) She's a lazy cow who can't be bothered with domestic chores.

(2) She's happy to exploit poor people to do her cleaning and cooking - people who have little choice in such matters.

She's vile.  What's amazing is she has so little self awareness that she doesn't realise how obnoxious she actually is.

You are , as is anyone else, entitled to your opinion. However, I tend to disagree with your opinion. If she is financially able to afford out sourcing her domestic chores for what she sees as other opportunities, then good luck to her. I get the impression you are not able to afford to out source your domestic chores, and are somewhat jealous?

BREAKING NEWS: Influencer Elizabeth Important has broken a fingernail.

If she goes to a private hospital on Koh Samui to have it repaired, she will have to pay the "Foreigner Not on a Longterm Visa" charge, which might be anything from 500,000 to 700,000 Baht for the repair.

Your own experiences I assume!?

Just got to get herself a wonderful Thai husband now just to make it real! "Kree et gin Lao, kree et gin lao" No need for that 400K in the bank though.....ahh life is paradise. Maybe open a coffee shop or flog some weed.
