Americans have very successfully marketed crap food around the world, McDonald’s, KFC, 7-11, donuts and other stuff. Hopefully these tariffs will wake people up a bit.

WHite house calculated the non-tariff trade barriers into the magic 8-ball, and it said 10% for Australia, so of course the territories and dependencies will get the same rate.

That's the same tariff applied to Cocos Islands, pop 600.

Norfolk Island is a dependent territory of Australia. It has been hit with 29% tarriff. It does not even have a port and access is virtually by air only. It's population of 2000 people  are shocked at the impact on their enormous export market.
