  • The tariffs are reciprocal, meaning the penguins must have been involved in unfair trading practices

  • Everybody knows penguins are smuggling fentanyl from their base at the South Pole into the US, just look at the way they walk, they're plainly high as kites. Plus the disrespect they showed Trump

That's stupid.  It would be covered by Australia already. But everything about the Trump Tax Tariffs is stupid, so no surprise.

Any Teslas on that island? Burn them penguins. Or at least leave some penguin poop on the driver's seat. 😁

You have no idea about penguins, do you? Good luck finding some penguin poop you could put on a driver's seat, unless you bring a jack hammer.

Your lack of sense of humour is showing through with this and your following two posts. Lighten up.

My sense of humour is just fine. I just dislike people saying nonsense about Antarctica.

It's my favourite place on the planet- amazing scenery and few people to stuff it up.

Taxing the sh*t out of penguin sh*t. Stable genius of the highest order. This one will go down in the history book in support of his stage 5 dementia.

I was at Scott Base, though we had a couple at South Pole ( US ) station. I also had a break in the dry valleys at Lake Vanda and did a lot of walking. One trip was to Lake Vida walking over the Clark glacier. We all had a dip in the lake, though the first in had to literally break the ice.

Most of my trips were up to the Scott and Shackleton huts, though we did get a trip to the far east at Cape Crozier. That is where a large Emperor penguin colony is. Cherry Garrard wrote about his trip in winter to see them in the book The Worst Journey in the World. We actually found the remains of the stone shelter they built. We were too early for Emperors, but I helped with the count of Adelies at Cape Royds. So yes, I have been up close and personal with Adelie penguins. Also with Skuas that like to feed on penguin chicks, and seals, which lay on the ice in front of the base to have their pups. Scott Base was too far from the sea to have penguins there.

To go further afield involved flying over great distances, and as such we were not allowed as we all had jobs to do,

Certainly the most interesting year of my life.

That sounds like a great experience, not many have had the chance to get.

The childish joke is 'Why do Polar Bears not eat Penguins?''

Because they cannot get the wrapper off! 555

Yes, I was very lucky. Of course, of those that did go, some should never have imagined they had what it took in the early days. The bases now are more like hotels than bases on the edges of civilization, so it doesn't matter so much.

Back when I went all the water was melted from ice, and showers were rationed. In summer with more people it was one shower every 5 days, if we were lucky, and of course no happy endings for a year.

Now they desalinate water from the sea, and there are loads of females down there.

I loved almost everything about my time, but we were unfortunate with our leaders, which caused problems. Apart from that it was great.

Almost as stupid on Trump's list is the "British India Ocean Territory".  The only inhabited island there is the joint US & UK military base at Diego Garcia.

Almost as stupid as that are some of the remote impoverished countries with tiny GDPs such as Tuvalu, Tokelau, or Kiribati.  Just pure evil to penalize these places when it can bring no possible meaningful benefit the US.

Yep the guy has definitely got a screw loose
