1, Talk.  2, Call the police.  3, Restrain in superior numbers.

It's very simple.

There's no need to batter the guy.  You just want that because of something inside you.

He got what he was asking for, life lesson.

I have NO sympathy for him at all.

in this case he wasn't severely beaten ... but if you want to make the argument for street justice instead of calling the cops i'm not on board. people should only fight in self-defence ideally. this is like a scene from Fight Club.

However street justice is swift and efficient.

You think he deserved a battering for very little other than goading people in the street (who appeared to have made a circle around him to goad him in return)?

In your opinion.

Probably not only me.

I worked security at different venues before,it is always the same trouble makers until they learn their lesson.

I bet you coconuts to bananas he will not act like this again for awhile.

He acted that way. So this gives the security the right to assault him and the crowd to beat him down? Seriously?

I am sure there have been times when you acted like a D as well. Perhaps, you should have been jumped as well?

So, he picked up a girl in play and she hit the aircon above. Simple to happen no deliberately. So he was loud. Obnoxious. He was drunk.. Perhaps every time you get drunk and do something stupid the crowd near you should attack and beat you down...

The only lesson learned here is that the security still have not been trained to manage incidents without violence. And that you would have been one in the crowd that jumped the guy.

No i have never acted this way, been in a number of fights but was never the aggressor.

Why do people get drunk in bars?

I did try my doctors surgery, parents evening at my kids school and at the driving test centre but none had quite the ambience of a Pattaya bar with scowling customers asking " Did you spill my pint - are you looking at my bird?" . But each to their own if you prefer the former venues…

Let's be honest guys, where else would you see such primitive behaviour?

Imagine that happening in a western country?

Random waitresses, bar staff, security, random bystanders, passersby, some taxi drivers perhaps, or whoever etc. etc. all coming out of the woodwork together for a good auld head kicking on someone who really posed no actual threat to anyone - especially once he was put down with the first punch - but he was all bark and no bite anyway throughout the whole video.

Things like that happen in prison, gang culture, or football hooligan culture in the West......but for ordinary civilians to do this?? 😆 🤣 😂

It's wild!

Coz that's where the drinks are and getting drunk in a vasectomy clinic is frowned upon.

While I don't disagree, it's not the job of security to fight people in the streets, even if they're being goaded, and it's not right for everyone to storm in and try to stomp the guy.

Go ahead! Mess around and see what happens! Be careful what you wish for, you just might get it, and maybe more than you can chew! 555!!!

Bet you won though eh😉?

First you are drunk...

Secondly, it's not your turf...

Thirdly, even your slightest misdeeds in a bar will get added on to prove you guilty in case the matter goes to police.

Fourthly, enjoy your booze, music, have fun... their is no need to prove your masculinity...

Come to New Orleans, thats normal behavior 6 out of 7 nights. Its the same in many American citys. Ever been to Vegas ? lol

The thing is, we actually like this, or at least the environment that led to it.  While this is the bad side, the positive side is that Thais get on really well with each other, support and cooperate easily, and there is sweeping societal harmony and trust as a result.  If it wasn't like this, people would probably not come to Thailand anywhere near as much as they do.

We enjoy the positive side, but know to tread lightly to avoid the negative.

Duh, cuz dats where da beer is?

Looks like the drunk Farang goaded the security guard, but by the law (if there is law in Soi 6) the security guards were at fault for throwing the first punch.

Because we can 🤷🏼

I was beat up in training on a regular basis but never on the street.

Learned early to walk away if i could.

Having watched the video - "Som nam na" springs to mind - but once again the majority of Thai waited until the guy was on the ground befoer they began to get stuck in. Having said that  - the foreigner ceratinly aske for a bit of "come uppance"!

(P.S. Can't be British or it would have said so 🙂 - Eastern Europeans maybe?)

What did he do next, walk away with his tail between his legs?

He has a very hittable face this guy. That being said the last paragraph is funny.

Lots of people at some point drink too much and lose control but this is probably the worst street in Thailand to be doing that.

No talking crap like this here like UK or Aus - just punches in bunches.

Because they are lone losers, looking for someone to lean on. Sometimes by force😂

Yeah, but why do that?  That seems to be something that would just make him worse.  Give him an audience, and he's going to act up for them.  Ignore him and tell him to go away, and it's more likely to be diffused.  Or call the police.

It also made Thais more aggravated and gave them a chance to gang up and attack.

They need to learn how to diffuse things or end them quickly and safely.  There must be a step between doing nothing and a gang of men trying to smash his face in.

Pack mentality. Lead by basic retrieve emotions. They burst anger when the situation is allowed. Like party atmosphere. No much deepness and elevation sadly.

This was a good ad for family rest. Normally, incidents like this should be handled by the police or possibly by security guards, who should restrain the aggressive person and wait for the police. There is no law here—just a crowd putting someone on trial.

It was soi 6 for goodness sake!

Yes absolutely. He got what he deserved. Not such a Tough Guy after all.

What a total dickhead lol.
