"While Democrats and the corporate media have fixated on the stock market in recent weeks, they’ve largely ignored the even more important economic trend that is redefining the country’s future – trillions of dollars in new investment in the United States thanks to President Donald Trump’s bold trade, energy, and regulatory agenda."

Enjoy your petty little emoji war and flames. 3, 2, 1.....

Hard to tell whether the author of article linked to is just naive or deceptive. Would companies have made these investments anyway, regardless of Trump's new tariffs? Would investments have been even more if the tariff plan had never been enacted?

Take Apple for instance. Much was made of its plan to spend $500 billion dollars over the next 4 years. But as it turns out...

Apple’s $500 Billion U.S. Investment Is Mostly Already in the Books
Expansion plan in America is in line with company’s spending pattern and efforts to diversify manufacturing away from China

Another issue is how many of these investments will actually materialize. As some may recall, during Trump's 1st term...

Trump takes credit for Foxconn's 'incredible investment'

 image.png.f641f67a4d3edb2ca084a1879667ceb2.png

Taiwanese manufacturing giant Foxconn announced plans to invest $10bn (£7.6bn) in a new factory in the US.

The plant, to be located in Wisconsin, is expected to make LCD panels and employ 3,000 people initially.

President Donald Trump, claimed credit for Foxconn's "incredible investment" which he said would not have happened if he had not been elected.

Foxconn mostly abandons $10 billion Wisconsin project touted by Trump

Taiwan electronics manufacturer Foxconn is drastically scaling back a planned $10 billion factory in Wisconsin.
Under a deal, Foxconn will reduce its planned investment to $672 million from $10 billion, and slash the number of new jobs to 1,454 from 13,000.
The deal was first announced at the White House in July 2017, with then-president Donald Trump boasting of it as an example of how his “America First” agenda could revive U.S. tech manufacturing.

What technology is going to revitalize the failed Foxconn center in Wisconsin?

The White House on Wednesday announced a $3.3 billion investment by Microsoft to build an AI data center on the site. Part of President Joe Biden’s Investing in America initiative, this project is expected to create 2,300 union construction jobs and 2,000 permanent jobs. Biden even traveled to Mount Pleasant to join Microsoft in making the announcement.

Finally, to make sense of this number, it would make sense to compare it to investment amounts in previous years, including promises vs reality.

Yag - couldn't get into that link so I fiddled with it, unsuccessfully.

Let's hope those projections come to pass. Meantime I think figures on the trade deficit, unemployment, vacancies, inflation, dollar value etc. will be regularly available. MMmmmm

Just reading from similar reports the title of the article in the OP may be better stated as:

‘Massive Numbers’: Trump’s Economic Agenda Sparks $7 Trillion In -- PLEDGED --Investment

Why do hou have so little trust in the promises of big corporations? Which  leads to the obvious question: Why do you hate America?

One thing I learned from these "debates" is anyone can spin anything.

Putting out a positive news story doesn't mean anything. Someone will find a way to put a negative spin on anything.

When the 2nd coming of Christ occurs and everyone is finally "saved", a bunch of people will still put a negative spin on it.

You don't seem to get it.

If a news article announced that Jesus is coming but doesn't say what date, then it deserves criticism as being possibly fictional. Especially given the failure of past predictions.

But if Jesus actually does show up and people continue to criticize, well, I guess they'll be damned to hell for all eternity.

Another way of looking at this article is that it's a "Check is in the mail" story.

that's exactly what I am saying will happen.

thank you.

But there's enough there to use your own brain and judgement to pick a side on many of these issues. I have said it before - sure the mainstream media puts a slant on things but it is fact checked and it is mainly true. What I see on this site is Trump addles peoples brains to believe everyone is lying and bad and so everyone is as bad as Trump so be careful not to full in the trap.

What you might think is being objective may be falling for Trump's nonsense.

So you're saying that will happen despite evidence of past corporate spin and corporate lies? How does your belief differ from that of a cult member?

I believe this happened the day 47 was inaugurated. The parallels are too striking to ignore. The persecution, the overcoming evil, the glorious cleaning house. It's only going to get better. I think of him as a Revenge Jesus. Absolutely perfect.

LIke I said, cult mentality.

To be clear, I'm not comparing Trump to Jesus. I'm not saying he's a savior.

I just used Jesus second coming as an extreme example that people can put a spin on anything.

So I am getting tired of debating.

And it applies to both sides.

Why not? Trump does.

Right. People can put a spin on anything. Like the author of the article that Yagoda used as evidence.

He made no effort to compare the promised investment level to previous promised and actual investment levels. He just cited a 7 trillion dollar figure. It is, in fact, really bad reporting. But considering how unreliable the reporting was from Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, maybe he does deserve to be ranked alongside them.

Correct.

With all this new capital investment, I am wondering why the bond market, share market and USD are all tanking, and investors are buying Japanese and Korean bonds instead, as well as gold reaching record highs.

I guess either I am reading wrong market information, or the OP is posting the usual MAGA BS which has no factual basis.

Could you please post in the English language.

IIRC you are a poster who chuntered on repeatedly about Harris's word salads?

Triggered by how ridiculous your woke cults sacred beliefs are when written down? Honestly, I don't blame you.

I think he enjoys playing the victim. Notice how he always whines about the emojis and flames he thinks (hopes?) will follow his posts.

It's like we have our own mini-Jesus here on AN.

you should start practicing your Pali language chanting so you're prepared when the age of Trump ends, your life completely crumbles and your only remaining hope is becoming a monk.

You are correct the OP is posting the usual MAGA BS which has no factual basis as he always does.

Well, there may be a factual basis to it. But the article was so poorly researched - in fact it looks like it wasn't researched at all - that it's impossible to know if it's valid or not.

Trump is lying about everything, sad thing is that loads of idiots believe every word he says even though they have been proven wrong time after time:

Trump is very wrong about how much the US is collecting from tariffs

  • Trump has said the US is collecting $2 billion in daily tariff revenue, but the data shows otherwise.
  • US Customs and Border Protection says its collected $500 million in reciprocal tariffs since April 5.
  • The Treasury Department has also reported numbers significantly lower than Trump's claims.

Trump hugely exaggerating the facts? This is as shocking as the fact that his supporters consistently defend his massive falsehoods.
