If you travel or are already traveling how can you get an email and print it out?  How quickly is the email sent after you submit the form using the website?  Even if I bring my smartphone, I will NOT have service inside BKK unless or until I buy some new SIM card, or buy some travel connection plan

You will get the email within minutes. Print it or save the PDF on the phone so you have access to it even if you cannot access your mailbox.

Anyone with a pioneering spirit arriving in Thailand already before the official launch date of 1 May 2025 can do the TDAC within three days prior to and including the entry date and surprise the immigration official with it, ie with the printout of the PDF document you get by email within minutes of submitting the data.

Then keep it as a memento of your adventure.

On the TDAC form, it is currently not a required field.

If you don't have a visa, leave the field blank.

If you have a visa, you can choose between leaving it blank or giving the visa number.

What if you have an extension of permit to Stay and a Re entry permit?

My Visa expired some years ago

There is free wifi in BKK.

It did not appear to me that the departure was optional.

If you don't touch that section, it's not required.

But if you check one of the mode of travel boxes, it then marks the remaining fields as required.  You can click the "Clear" button on the side to clear that option and remove the required asterisks.

Could immigration invalidate your tourist e-visa number once you added it on the online tdac form 3 days in advance you come to Thailand? Or it would be impossible? I know it's a silly question but am just a bit paranoid 😂. Maybe the visa number is only for people that have a re-entry permit and are coming back to Thailand? Or the visa number on the tdac is also for people that are coming to Thailand with a tourist e-visa?

No.  It's only a form you fill in.  Nobody checks or verifies the information.  Visa number is also present on the TM6 form.

Do you recommend to also add the e-visa number on the tdac online form or it could be skipped? You will have to show the e-visa document to the officer anyway

I can guarantee you it will be a mess on may 1 when they launch this thing, arriving people will cram to the booth to sign up that they haven't done it online

All things considered, I wonder if they still want farangs in LOS....

What a world we live in, controlle, controlle and more controlle, and those who take advantage of this know their way around.

Get used to it.

These things are already in place in many countries, including Singapore, Malaysia, Cambodia etc.

Not unique to Thailand.

PS they did not work for me on recent trips to both Cambodia nor Malaysia.

No issues, just processed by a human being as normal.

WITHIN 3 days. You cannot do it earlier, you can do it from 3 days before arrival and until you queue at immigration in Thailand.

Correct.

There are some news stories that got it all wrong, and also the immigration website in one instance I saw today.

Thanks for clearing that up.

A couple of reports that I had read quoted that the form should be filled in 'at least three days before arrival

eg

He wasn't able to fill out accommodation details whereas I've always been able to do that (using Firefox on Win11).

On the paper TM6 you entered the re-entry permit number.  I intend to do the same on the electronic version.

I do not. I used to write "re entry ", not any number.

In the 'visa' section type reentry and your number, its tied in to your extension of stay.....

If you had a valid visa or a reentry permit then that's the number that is to be entered.

It also alerts immigration officer to look in pp for eg reentry permit.

Fact that you did not and had no issue means nothing.

Thanks. What I do is proffer my passport opened to the page that has the re- entry permit

I feel like re entering with a re entry permit is the easiest way to enter Thailand, maybe because the decision has allready been made? Even when I was on Thailand Elite years ago I was grilled by a lady officer but I thought maybe she wanted to get together with me. Do you have girlfriend do you have wife what is your job do you have a house?

Tell them what they want to know. No need to skip anything. Just put in the information that is asked for on the form and you shouldn't (but obviouisly not gauranteed) have any problems.

Your choice of the terms "What they want to know"  and "is asked for" are unfortunate, as they do not provide full clarity.

The TDAC form has essentially two types of fields:

  • Fields that require the entry of data or the selection of an item from a pop-up list. If such a field is left blank, I cannot proceed to the next page. These fields are marked with a red asterisk.
  • Fields for which data entry is not required. I can proceed to the next page even if I leave such a field blank. The field "Visa" is an example of such a field for which data entry is optional: regardless of whether or not I enter data in it, I can proceed with data entry into subsequent fields. These fields are not marked with an asterisk.

Ok, So, what fields do you have to leave blank and what exactly is stopping you procceeding to the next stage. Sorry but I am interested in understanding the whole process, as I guess many here are.

Why don't you just go to the form and try it out; it is quite easy and self explanatory.

Well, one of the points of this forum, originaly named "Thai Visa" was for anyone that needed information about visas etc. was to ask for and hopefully receive informative comment from fellow posters. Of course I can go and try it out but the more information, tricks or tips there are, the easy it can make it for anyone that needs to go through the process.

There should be no reason to ask more questions about the TDAC in this thread, all the info is here already if one cares to read the thread from the start. If that is not enough, then the only solution is to take a closer look at the form oneself.

Leaving any required field stops me from proceeding to the next page.

In the example above, I failed to fill in the fields "*City/State of Residence" and "* Phone No.", then clicked on the button "Continue" and got the pop-up message "No data or Insufficient data"

Regarding your question "what fields do you have to leave blank", the answer is "none, but I am free to leave any and all fields without a red asterisk blank.

As another member has suggested, the TDAC site is already up and running for you to try it out, even if you do not intend to arrive in Thailand within the next three days.

I see absolutely no reason not to add it.  It might assist the IO on arrival in any case which can't hurt.

And could it be a problem if I might not want to add a departure flight? I see isn't mandatory anyway

No. With the the current design of the form, it could not and would not be a problem.
