That's why I always do it in person, just don't trust their IT system, and if there's any error or slipup at their end they'll never admit fault, it'll always be the foreigner's fault.

If the online remains pending or refused you can attend immigration in person up to 7 days after due date. 

For some folk a trip to immigration office is a task.

Also at some eg CW you just about need an appointment due to how busy it can be
