Zelenski gives in and signs the minerals deal with Trump. This will impact the war in Ukraine because now America will begin to supply weapons and aid to the war effort.

I guess now Trump will have to deal more with Russia as well to end the war so America can reap the benefits from the minerals deal. Either that or commit more resources to Ukraine.

Yes Ukraine needs to try to stay in an OK place with US diplomatically until it's no longer possible. But sadly there is nothing in this deal promising any new military aid to Ukraine.

Trump has refused to even sell for cash much need Patriot missile defense systems! Disgusting.

The only good news I suppose is that Trump can sell this as a big win for him.

Without that any hope of continued U.S. -- Ukraine good relations would be finished.

In Trump's perverted view of the world, there are no mutually beneficial agreements, there needs to be a winner and a loser.

That's a lie. Military aid was GRANTED. It's Trump who later made up a fiction that it's OK to demand payback.  It doesn't work that way. If something is a loan or a purchase, you start as a loan or a purchase.

By Trump refusing to even sell for cash defensive systems, in essence blood is on Trump's hands basically for every Ukrainian civilian murdered by Putin now.

Biden did what was normal to help Ukraine defend itself against an aggressor. 

Before sleaze ball Trump 2.0 came to power military aid to allies was based on foreign policy, not sucking profits out of allied nations fighting for their very survival. 

Also of course the vast majority of aid was spent in the USA to military industries, helping the U.S. economy anyway.

 

Based on what I read about this actual agreement, as it was finally acceptable to Ukraine after many revisions, yes he did have to sign it again if he wants there to be any hope of future cooperation of any kind with Trump. Of course Europe isn't ready to fully take the place of the U.S. so Zelinsky needs to at least try to keep hope alive for further U.S. aid. That would include selling him the defense Patriots which Europe doesn't even have an equivalent to sell.

Everyone should have been prepared for trump doing whats best for the US, thats what he did his first term. European leaders knew this was happening but they know they have no say, no money no influence, completely useless

It won’t help Ukraine in the least trump will betray them to curry favor with his guru putin,and participate in the looting of that brave country.I sincerely hope I’m wrong but I doubt it…..time will tell.

If all true, Trump is PO at Russia it seems.  I can see him sending much more powerful weapons to Ukraine.

If nothing else many more Russians will die and hopefully,  their war machine will be at least temporarily slowed down.
