Now that's a thread title I could get behind! I would perhaps change it slightly;

The clown show that is Trump 2.0 - a 100 Days of Hoaxes.

What do you think? Better, right?

The biggest hoaxes coming out of the WH are that weakening the dollar, tanking the stock market, the chaotic tariff strategy, the radical push to deport undocumented workers, legal immigrants and foreign students, mass firings of federal employees and a sometimes overt disdain for the US Constitution are helping anything at all. Too much hoaxing.

What hoaxes yagoda trumps self inflicted trade war fact his deportation without due process fact his ignoring court orders fact his (governance) by decree/ executive order fact the betrayal of Ukraine fact those are facts yagoda not hoaxes

My favorite hoax is Ms. Karoline Leavitt's saying "It's a fact" that the body of water down south is the 'Gulf of America' instead of the Gulf of Mexico when the body of water was named in the 1500's and the name 'Mexico' was actually referring to a person and is not a reference to a country.

1589 to be exact, and on 1 map ... and by English geographer Richard Hakluyt, of all people, when Spain held "New Spain".   Spain also colonized the Americas, in 1493.  Even FL was part of 'New Spain' till 1821.

... S. America was named 'America' in 1507

The official name of 'Mexico', didn't exist until 1824, after being liberated from Spain in 1821. Prior to 1821, it was called "New Spain (Nueva España)"

United Colonies of North America, was used up until 1776, when it officially became the 'United States of America' per Declaration of Independence.

Ouch

In the U.S., the Geographic Names Information System (GNIS) has officially updated “Gulf of Mexico” to “Gulf of America.” As we announced two weeks ago and consistent with our longstanding practices, we’ve begun rolling out changes to reflect this update. People using Maps in the U.S. will see “Gulf of America,” and people in Mexico will see “Gulf of Mexico.” Everyone else will see both names.

So if Mr. Trump wants to rename the Atlantic Ocean and issues an executive order doing so, everyone in the US would have to use that name

America was named after the Italian explorer and cartographer Amerigo Vespucci.

I am wondering when the petitions will surface to rename both continents Trumpland 1 and 2.
