True will be showing all Serie A matches and I'm sure some LA Liga & Bundesliga games as before. Just no EPL.

Get a decent IPTV subscription and dump True visions, you get all your EPL and much more interesting channels at a fraction of the platinum package price.

Yeah, I got a text from AIS this afternoon. 199 baht per month for all Premier League and FA matches!  That is insanely cheap!

With what you mentioned .. it is not on demand streaming either. I chose a convenient time, with this subscription.

You can't choose the time convenient for you with the 3BB or AIS package, because they will show repeats, but you can't choose at what time they are.

With IPTV you have catchup, so you choose exactly what time is convenient to watch the games from the last 7 days.

You could have bought a Maxplay stick for about a grand instead of going 24 large, but don't get me wrong I'm no experts in these matters and still have nightmares about CTH, I still have their dish glued to the side of the house too 🙂

Me too, the CTH thing was a complete joke and no-one came to claim the dish.

They also have some pre season games and The USA tournament.

It looks like you can subscribe on the 3BB internet app at a discount.

But after hours getting to work on the HBO app I am rather reluctant to change anything.

The erevediicii on Sport 1 Chanel looks really good picture.

The picture on the friendly games looks really good

No catch-up or repeats but I assume there will be once EPL starts.

All to do with licencing.

I noted that too. No repeats of the friendly game(s), that they showed live in the middle of the night. There were no repeat options in the World Club comp, either.

I need / want the stream repeat option, as many games are on in middle of our night time. And repeats only at set times like on TRUE, are a pain to track.  But they have promised streaming at any convenient time.

I am guessing the "Watch Live" button that is on each match, if not pressed means you get the match streamed from the beginning. If you press it .. you go to the match live, even if started / nearly over.

Just a wild guess. I not right often. You can do that on other sports apps, like NRL.

When the match is over that "Watch Live" button wont be there, if a repeat from the start is only option. So you just press play.

Hey Ho ... we will see.

I got another thought, re what App of the 2 I think that is possible to use is best,  but will drone on about it seperately. Maybe.

Same here, no-one reclaimed the CTH dish (which is still stuck on the side of our house) or their box. As I recall, though, they eventually went bust after losing the EPL rights (no big surprise there in view of their shambolic billing procedures), so there was probably no-one at their end to whom we could have returned dishes and boxes in any case. As I recall, they did soldier on for a couple of months after the end of their final EPL season before the plug was finally pulled for good.

I am still highly skeptical about this whole charade. I now see that they are saying they are showing highlights via their youtube channel, wtf?? Whether or not highlights is just on YT or also on their app, who knows, but the highlights will be on YT, which is utterly ridiculous as you can watch highlights from many 'places' on youtube.

It also bothers me that you can't watch live games through their website, they say it's because of copyrights, but other streaming corporations that have exclusive PL rights do show via their website, Stan Sports in Aus being one. Watching on the app is tedious using the remote, as opposed to a mouse for example. I also doubt that you will be able to flick through channels to catch up on other game, like you could with True, with this I suspect you will have to come out of one game and go into another. Tedious.

I don't doubt all the games will be live and the picture will be FHD, but all the trimmings and convenience that we had with True are NOT going to be there IMO, and I won't just pass that off with a 'hey ho' as it's going to be extremely <deleted> annoying! I fear the worst.

Stan Sport only got the EPL rights for the coming season, they didn't have them for the 24/25 season, so it will to be seen if you can access the Stan website outside Australia.

No, no, read what I said again, I'm saying that other co's are showing games on their website, i.e Stan, where this crowd won't be.

No, you will need an Aus IP to watch through Stan, maybe a good VPN and you will be good to go. but it's a risk. Also I had a look at pricing and it's expensive about Bt700 per month for their most basic package + PL.

And that is the reason that 3BB or AIS can not show it on their website, since they can't geo lock it, because they need to be accessible from outside Thailand for other things.

Copyright is a something real, and if someone from outside Thailand would be able to watch EPL on their website, they would lose the rights instantly.

I doubt also you can connect to Stan with a VPN, because technology these days is so advanced that they detect a vpn and block it

Ok well that's fair enough, so assume because someone like Stan are only an entertainment company they can show on their site. So can Stan lose their rights instantly if someone overseas gets into their site via a VPN to watch the PL?

No because Stan is an entertainment only company they can geo lock their website, and like I said I doubt that even with the best VPN you be able to connect to it,

Try to watch NRL on their official website from outside Australia, it will not work even with a VPN.

They have a special subscription though that is only accessible from outside Australia

Another one is Aussie fox sports, from Foxtel, which has all the NRL and AFL games.

It's geo locked and even with the best VPN you can not watch it in Thailand

Yes, at best it's risk and 130% more expensive than Monomax/AIS.

Ok so if anyone is interested, as there doesn't seem to be much going on on this thread, I've purchased a one month sub to test, and pleased to report so far so good. Streams well and easy to set up English audio. Options to watch football on the website doesn't show up (but we knew that anyway) but on the app (and probably on mobile too) it is advertising future games. On Wednesday they have Milan vs Arsenal from Singapore at 6.30, so that will be the first time I give a game a try.

No clue how it's going to work as far as replays/punditry/highlights are concerned, but the fact that they are now proudly stating that the highlights will be on youtube is a worry.

Why would that be a worry? Highlights and replays are a completely different animal, and most likely they want to make the highlights available to non 3BB/AIS subscribers, with the intention to create a bigger customer base

It's a potential worry with highlights because it may mean that highlights won't be available on the app (or only as per the YT highlights) and not proper extended highlights without knowing the score etc (as True did) why would I want to use their YT channel for highlights when it shows the score and many other channels show highlights of games. I suspect the highlights will only be in Thai also.

I've downloaded the Monomax app onto my PC via Bluestacks. logged in OK but the picture quality and smoothness doesn't appear to be as good as the app on your tv , but it's another option and easier to navigate with a mouse rather than a poxy remote.

The MONOMAX app on my android box does not seem to be working very well. Only 2 and half fixtures showing for first week. It wont let me scroll to the other games. Other odd things happening. All other apps on that box are fine.

So ... I tried my redundant TRUE visions box and it works perfect.  Eureka. Well it lists the games and scrolls smoothly.  No games shown yet during awake hours.  One this evening to test it out.

I have got the AIS PLAY app on my TV but no idea how to use my MONO MAX subscription with it Google and other sources say I should be able to watch using my MonoMax subscription.

The app is all in Thai. Cant see how to get to English. Given up on that.

I will just use the android box. Having it on an in built TV App would be neater.

I could try loading MONO MAX, APK file onto the TV but worried I might ferk things up .. guess the box is sufficient. It is working. Happy Days.

Yes, the Monomax app on the PC I downloaded only shows two and a half games, but thankfully the app on my Samsung tv looks all good. There is actually a live game on at 6.30 tonight Milan vs Arsenal to test things.

I couldn't get into the Arsenal game initially then it come on, have to say it's a great pic and English comms. So far so good and they still have another 3 weeks to fine tune.

Zero interest in the game itself though and judging by the empty stadium the locals ain't interested either!

I assumed being a friendly they had no pre match chat. Hence the reason it did not start 30 minutes before as labelled. But about 10 minutes and pictures only.

My app crashed for 10 minutes, about 15 minutes in. A hint of possible frustrations ahead. I hope not.

I got the screens below.   Only mentioning it because if a big game is on, best to be prewarned of possible frustration.

On their Facebook page they had many complaints, so are well aware of the issues yesterday and said they are sorting it. Hope so.

I see they are now advertising upcoming EFL and Carabao Cup games. Interesting.

Oooooo errrrr. Good.  It is nice to have the option of an occasional championship game, if bored.

I notice there is suddenly an option to stream repeats of many of the World Club games.  Errrrr but commentary is in Thai. I watched them all on DAZN. I guess it was an afterthought to repeat ... hence no English option.

Liverpool v AC Milan friendly 18.30 tomorrow. I not into friendlies but it is a test to see if uninterrupted coverage this time. I will check it out occasionally if at home.

(I like being retired and having nothing better to do but chase entertainment).

Yes, will also check tomorrow.

They are under pressure to get it right after the fiasco with Arsenal v Milan, which by the way was in English (well the bit that they actually showed)

As for ''I like being retired and having nothing better to do but chase entertainment''  there's no need to lower the tone 🙂

Ooooooops.  They are not Championship games but Div 1 ( 3rd level ). I mis-spoke or ... Mis-wrote.

I must cut down on the beers.
