Just go to TJ and ask a cabbie anyway it takes courage to do that kind of journalism much easier to back news agencies that back the guy grabbing people off the streets and shipping them off to foreign supermax prisons without due process now before you give yourself a wedgie it’s the lack of due process not the act of shipping genuine violent ms13 members to prison.so don’t conflate something that wasn’t said.

Courage from the msm.... are you taking the piss?

Any journalist worth his salt,  has contacts. Politicians, smugglers, terrorists, drug cartel members ... you just name it, they will have some contact or they will create a way of getting through to them.

To me, an organization of the caliber of CNN doing this is no surprise at all - in fact, if they cant do anything like this, they might as well close shop!

Reporting about road accidents and the like is just peanuts.

Journalists, I prefer Political Activist .

They / them would never never never

interview any of these families.

As an exercise, instead of talking about Trump, pretend you are the president.

What would you do to solve the cartel / fentanyl problem?

Please let us know how you would solve it.

I'd legalize all drugs, then sell them in pharmacies and bars at cost + 10%.

No more cartels, no more thieving to support drug habits, no more accidental overdose, many less people in prison.

And if the users want to overdose ....... why not let them, their bodies, their choice.

There's nothing you can do to stop them, so might as well be legal and as safe as possible.

Yep, take the profit out of crime, and you eliminate crime.   Along with all the 'side businesses' that service crime; less lawyers, bail bondsmen, prisons, half way house for paroled people.

DA & PoPo can concentrate taking reports of real crime :cheesy:

You say that now but when Immigration raids a place and some cartel are found with illegals then the Dems and Trump haters will be in force to stop their deportation and arrest.

Well, for starters, acknowledge that the war on drugs has been a failure, and try to work on the causes of addiction. But that would involve recognising that poverty and inequality are major contributors to the drugs epidemics blighting the world, and, of course, no major government has a strong interest in resolving those issues.

I often see poor people ripping through an 8 ball on a weekend bender.

BMs did not campaign, claiming they would quickly solve these issues. Trump did!

No, he hasn't solved it as far as I know.

He may attack them without consent of the Mexican govt, but then people on here will surely scream that he's a dictator.

There is no easy solution to the cartel issue, and maybe it will never get resolved.

They tryed that in Portland didn’t work out so well ……and to save the frogs the Mexican government would feel American drone strikes on their country would be a grievous assault on their sovereignty and rightly so.thats not a path we want to go down.

I did not claim he solved it, I claimed that he campaigned on the promise to solve it quickly.

I misunderstood.

Will be interesting to see what he does.

Previous efforts have failed, but the Mexican govt was corrupted with bribes from the cartels and one group the US military trained actually formed their own cartel. A lot of plot twists.
