If the shoes lady had been from Malta instead of Israel would people even be talking about this at all?

Targeted for being Jewish/Israeli . Most probably instigated and filmed by an enemy . Thais are usually non plussed about shoes being worn or removed She also states that the restaurant

  • Many tourists feel this way.  They are so much better then the low poor Thais and Thais should kiss up to them. Disrespectful, sickening and shameful attitudes.

  • Deport her....

Nope, well unless Nick was Maltese then he would be saying they are only picking on her because she is Maltese, the person with the phone must be an enemy, probably from the 16th century Ottoman Empire etc.

If nobody had made ridiculous claims to support her action then nobody would have been talking about this thread now.

I disagree.

This would have been a hot topic without that.

All it takes is the Israeli connection and the results are predictable.

Yeah!!! I heard the person holding the camera is actually Mahmoud Abbas. Can you confirm with your sources?

Why does it matter who is holding the camera? All it takes is cutting the footage to avoid showing her being provoked ahead of her stupid comment, and it makes it look a lot worse than what probably happened. Classic tactic: film everything but only release the parts you choose instead of the whole clip. She was singled out and attacked verbally and possibly physically too for being Israeli, that seems pretty clear.

Pretty clear..........in your imagination. You have no evidence.

She has already made a statement and nowhere does she say she was attacked, verbally or physically. So get that fantasy our of your head.

Why do you guys have to automatically defend her because she is Israeli? It makes no sense. I am quite happy to criticise Brits when it's deserved (which is often). Why can't you do the same? Even without condemning, why not just ignore it - why do you have to invent fantasies about her being attacked, or the cameraman being an "enemy". So ridiculous.

Ever heard of the Barbra Striesand effect?

Everyday people gets singled out for being stupid, stop victimizing idiots for their heritage or entity

Every single nationality is being outed in Thailand no matter where they come from.

Israeli people are beyond entitled and often just downright rude. My friend has a shop at Chatuchak and never, ever wants to deal with Israelis. Was not interested in their 'big' money...much more pain than they were worth.

How do Thais know where they are from?

She is the first foreigner EVER to go into a restaurant  wearing shoes ?

This is the first tome that its ever happen and that's why its being publicised ?

Not sure why you are so defensive of Israel or Israelis, but for anyone that's been here for a while or has a business, they have a name in thailand, and it not unjust. They are know to be arrogant, rude and disrespectful. They are rude to staff, complain about food and often refuse to pay their bills.

This is not all of course, but enough to be stereotyped.

Personally I don't believe this girl had a bad foot, I think the whole incident was due to her attitude and refusal to take her shoes off.

We are not talking the 11 Million Israelis .

We are talking about one woman on KPG

Yes, but there have been a threads about Israeli and their behaviour in recent months, even to the point their embassy made an official  statement.

Everytime you have jumped to their defense without question..unless you are Israeli yourself I dont understand quite why you defend them so much, there are dickheads in every nationality, however you seem to defend them regardless.

Like i said, if you have lived here for any length of time you will be fully aware of the stereotype they have. Of course, not everyone is the same, but when ever I've see a post like this girl or a complaint about rude hostile behavior its allways been people from Israel.

Yes, but this thread is about the woman with shoes on KPG .

You have made false claims about me defending all Israelis without question , that just simply isn't true .

This wasn't rude hostile behavior from the Israeli, this was an Israeli responding to other customers being rude and hostile to her and also I cannot believe that you only see reports of Israelis being rude and hostile , as there are numerous other reports of other nationalities being rude and hostile .

This story would have even been an issue if there wasn't an Israeli involved

Don't play the victim, Its not a false claim, from every post I have seen from you thats Israel related you are defending them, as you are here with this girl. There are only her words and the Thai owners, however you take what the Israeli girl said as gospel..

I my over 25yrs in thaialnd I would suggest there is no smoke without fire when it comes to Israeli tourists.

I have said that not all are the same, but there isnt a stereotype for no reason.

This girls actions are very similar to a few post I have seen local to me recently, Funnily enough, of those threads regarding bad behavior, 95% of comments made have all pointed toward the same nation, of which they  have turned out to be correct.

You don't hear of Israelis out at 3am fighting in pattaya or phuket like you do other nationalities, so why not just accept they have certain stereotypical traits.

Well, for one I have previously stated in threads that the Israelis behavior in the hospital in Pai was unacceptable and that they deserved to be deported .

So you claim that I always defend Israelis was  false

Stick to the topic , the topic is this girl on this occasion , this topic isn't about your experience s with Israelis over the last 25 years

Nick, I agree with you most of the time, but sorry not in this case.

You know nothing about where this happened, what happened. You haven't been there nor spoke to anyone, so you know nothing about what happened other than this story.

let me explain like this It's like seeing a person go into a bank and then come out 5 minutes later. You can say they most probably went in the bank to deposit or withdrawal money.

however, with your "most probably" it's like saying the person went into the bank to rob it and then changed their mind and came out.  You have absolutely no information on where are what happened, but guessing what you think is happening.

A cafe is a public place, so why should she have to take off her shoes?  I would not even enter

their doorway if they were so fussy. I have refused to go into a couple places because of their local

rules that I did not agree with.

The person who posted it online also accused her of being  war criminal and complicit in genocide , that does' indeed suggest that the person who filmed it and posted online  it was probably an enemy of her/Israel .

Also, in the video footage , you can an non Thai person saying "You are not welcome here" , which both suggest that the cameraman has an anti Israel agenda .

Its actually rather obvious that the cameraman was on the otherside of the war and hostile to Israel

Well, at least she didn't defecate in the taxi.

Like that other Israeli.

Could be worse.

There was a really funny AI toy figure of the woman generated with her ciggies and shoes..."May moonnney!" see this thing more and more....there was a "passporbro one" for the guys getting drugged with scopolamine in Meddelin...Guy in designer shirt/$100s moneyclip/drug bag/hot chick on hinge app on phone screen ....they are so spot-on as visual comments...if you have not seen the images they are so funny.

Racist have been exploiting Jewish tropes for centuries.  They aren't "really funny" as you say. They are deeply offensive.

The story keeps getting posted over and over again and it keeps getting deleted (deleted because its already been posted) .

That does kind of prove that he people posting the video have an agenda against Israel and are using the story to attack Israelis

No shoe and no shirt restaurant!

There have been online attacks on Israelis, but I’m sure it’s not Thai people, because there are thousands of Thais living in Israel right now. Do you think Thai people would abandon their fellow citizens? And lately, there have been a lot of strange things online. On Quora, information about Thailand is being slandered in many ways, and on YouTube, there are many videos about famous cases that happened in Thailand right now.

9 minutes ago, UserC923 said:

Thai people are pretty close with Israelis. I have a feeling that the business owner who asked you to take off your shoes might be Burmese.

Or maybe a Thai of Chinese descent

Seems like the restaurant owner didn't mind if shoes were worn or not .

Seems it was other customers who complained and made the video .

If you listen to the video ; The person that says "You are not welcome here "

Does that sound like a Thai person saying  it ?

Does she have a Thai accent ?
