I'm sure no fan of either Obama but this seems like a dumb, and even mean thing to dump on her for.  Yes, women talk waaaay more about their feelings than men do, and yes, she is part of that group of people who just love to share whatever she is going through, for whatever reason (attention?).

 

But at the same time she's a mom in a tough time in life, no matter if she's rich and obnoxious.  Not sure if any of us stayed married long enough to the woman we had kids with to see her go through the "empty nest," but it's hard on a woman.  Their lives are wrapped up in being Moms and then in a way suddenly they aren't anymore.

I do not know if Michelle is just having a bad hair day or what but the accompanying photo of her on the first post is frightening. She has not aged well and maybe the reason that there seems to be some friction in Obama's marriage. I am so glad there is a real woman in the White House again.

I don't think her intention is for you to have concerns about her per se. She has spoken out on several occasions in the past about mental health issues, and she has been open and honest about her own struggles on that front. 

 

I believe her objective has always been to help remove the stigma mental health issues, and encourage people to talk more about it. Imagine how much better the world might be if there were fewer people beset with crippling anxiety or depression. She is doing her bit to encourage people to seek help without shame.

Whilst I am not an empty nest Mum, I am an empty nest Dad for the second time and there is still  hole in my heart where both of my sons were. She certainly has my sympathy, and if she thinks that she needs therapy to help her get over it, then go for it.

She graduated cum laude from Princeton University.

She graduated from Harvard Law School with a Juris Doctor degree.

 

Just speaking from admission statistics (Princeton acceptance rate of 4%, Harvard Law 9.5%), an application to those schools from her detractors here would have been thrown in the trash unread by the student intern and never considered for admission.

To be clear,  you could never even get to the place where her accomplishments began.

 

Second, the obvious envy over her wealth.

A great deal of her personal wealth came from her memoir “Becoming" which sold 14 million copies worldwide.

Nothing stopping you.

Call up Crown publishers and see what they think about publishing a memoir concerning your thoughts, experiences and achievements.

I'm sure you would get a fair hearing, which, to be fair, would be no hearing at all.
