My mother gave up smoking years ago. It's too damn expensive.

It is the government's fault for raising taxes on tobacco products, which allows people to buy smuggled tobacco and cigarettes, illegal imports (smuggling) make more money than drugs.

I don't agree with you, but everybody has their own opinion. I lived in LOS, moved back to OZ years ago and can't complain at all.

All i know is that my life is so much simpler here in Thailand. 

(and I don't have to put up with a welcome to country for absolutely everything I want to do - which unsurprisingly made me feel very unwelcome!!)

Well, I can't afford to live in Thailand, try getting health insurance at the age of 78.

I am in to quality not quantity.

I have had a fantastic life -  and at 63 , if I turn up my toes tomorrow - no regrets. 

I would rather live happily here in LOS than fester to a dull conclusion in Australia.

As Thais says, up to you, I choose what is best for me. My wife makes $ 40 per hour more on weekends or holidays
