So a civics class dictates law and policy.

You may hood wink your cronies but not going to work with me.

You can’t win.

I'm not gonna spoonfeed the intentionally ignorant. The class teaches you about the LAW that you are woefully ignorant about and refuse to learn so you can continue to spout nonsense. I'm done here.

Remember when he said "I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody, and I wouldn't lose any voters, OK?"   This plane is nothing compared to that. NORMAL people understand

  • That wasn't a joke.

  • I call BS on this one.   The MAGAS have put up with constant lies, sexual assaults, paying off porn stars, dodgy vaccines, ripping off contractors, selling of bibles, six bankruptcies, a dro

Please post these rules of gifts from a reputable government source.

The Emoluments Clause, specifically Article I, Section 9, Clause 8 of the U.S. Constitution, prohibits individuals holding a "public office" or "office of profit or trust" under the federal government from accepting gifts, emoluments, offices, or titles from foreign governments or monarchs without the explicit consent of Congress.

1.  Thanks for not posting jibberish like the “other guy”

2.  Trump has not accepted the plane despite what the loons think.

3.  Trump could accept the plane with Congress approval.

Personally , I don’t think he should accept due to security issues and lack of technology.

Ultimately it’s the decision of Congress and Trump

I can't imagine that Qatar would donate a $400 million plane to the President of the United States without the expectation of something in return, or perhaps it being payment for something already rendered but not yet publicly known.

If congress were somehow to approve this, they would be complicit in this corruption. I think this would be a bridge too  far for congress, with perhaps the exception of ultra-MAGAs.

I doubt Trump will accept the plane, but then I always thought the President was sworn to uphold the Constitution, but since Trump says he isn't a lawyer......

I'm not concerned with the mind of the Emir of Qatar.

he was not allowed to keep it .. how things have changed ,  corruption  knows no bounds

This plane is not a gift by Qatar to Trump, but rather to the US Defense Department, which will after Trumps term of office donate the plane to  Trump's  presidential library. So it's not as if he's keeping it.

He's being very up front, meticulous and honest about it.

Very commendable transparency by President Trump.

OMG, this is next-level, pure 9-11 WTC style genius. The ultimate Trojan Jet, custom built in hell’s finest aerospace lab by Iranian engineers with a grudge, a flash drive full of Stuxnet code, and a uranium paperweight on the cockpit dashboard for good luck. They said they’d assassinate him, and instead of going the old-fashioned route filled with C4, they’ve gift-wrapped him a $400 million flying time bomb courtesy of their golf buddies in Qatar. And he took it. Smiling. Waddled right up the steps like it was a golden chariot sent by Jesus himself.

Fast-forward to 36,000 feet and boom, the engines suddenly forget to engine. Total systems failure. No alarms. No warnings. Right out of Putin's Prigozhin playbook. Just a MAGA missile nosediving into the annals of history. The black box? Squeaky clean. Probably last recorded “Diet Coke, please” and then eternal static. The official story? Mechanical malfunction. Thoughts and prayers. Cue flags at half mast and Facebook grandmas in tears.

Meanwhile, halfway across the world, the mullahs are on their sixth round of champagne and doing the conga around a burning effigy of Mar-a-Lago. Qatar’s playing dumb like they didn’t just hand over the deadliest gift since the Greeks rolled up with a wooden horse. And his supporters? Eating it up like it’s gospel. Swallowed the bait, choked on the hook, and now clapping like trained seals at the funeral.

You want poetic justice? Try a man who spent four years dodging every legal consequence imaginable, only to get flattened by a gift jet from the very people his fans think he’s tough on. To his own peril, mate. You couldn’t write this as fiction, nobody would even believe it.

He is laundering it through the Defence Dept , because he knows he would not

be able to accept  it directly, typical Trump corruption , I suppose they will have

to build a bigger library , ( library + Trump that's one of a oxymoron )  to get

it inside 😛

If it is a gift to the Do D, then let the DoD put the plane in a museum on display for the general public. Trump can then purchase it from the DoD for display at his presidential library, next to his comic books, when he is no longer President.

One of great joys in life is  watching leftist get frustrated, angry, sometimes violent and watching them walk off during an interview on TV in which they are challenged and have no response.

The equivalent on the forum is reading how they are going to put someone on ignore.

It doesn’t get any better then this.

That guy cant even handle playful banter. If a comment is directed at him not agreeing with him then its liable to land you on his ignore list

The vast majority will not care about this in the slightest.

They love their Donald and they believe he loves them.

I would question the whole story. It will more than likely turn out to be total BS, as everything the MSM say is.

So now it went from a gift to a bribe.

You impressed me earlier with your valid explanation.  Much better than the typical idiot replies.

So do you have proof of this bribe or is it only your opinion?

No, I have no proof, but on the face of it this "gift" stinks. It stinks so bad that anyone with any morals or ethics would have loudly declined it.
