Why would you need one at this stage in life?

Should of done that years ago and had it paid off.

I moved here before it was, and having a mortgage means you'll own it, and have a place to leave your family when you pass.

They all match a ribeye. All personal taste. What's right for you might not be for others. Merlot isn't sweet but fruity.

Well not quite.

Having a mortgage means you will own it if/when the mortgage is paid off.

Until that the lending institution owns it.

Expand

And mortgage protection insurance can pay off the balance. In a mortgage, the lender owns an interest in the property, but you do own it.

What are some of your examples of those who became rich by rapping the earth’s resources?

Diamond, gold or coal miners?

Would you classify yourself as a tree hugger?

Expand

Those who cut down trees in places like the Amazon. Miners can return the property to much it's previous state by planting. Trees can be harvested and then saplings planted to renew a resource without eliminating it, or just to put cattle on it. Over harvesting the oceans and killing species that aren't cost effective instead of using all the catch. Still killing whales. Damming rivers for power sources and ruining farms, forests and fisheries. Mining does cause problems, having people work the mines instead of agriculture. And it's still all about profit. Developing land that was originally set aside for wildlife. Over development itself.Diamond harvesting which causes deaths, again for profit.

Texas. I was born in New Jersey and the prices there have skyrocketed, along with many other states, including California. Many people have moved to Texas  from California for that reason. My parents bought our house in New Jersey in 1965 for 35K. My brother's wife sold it a couple of years ago for over 400K I've been researching rent to owns for a couple years now, and get daily foreclosures in emails. many are $1000 or even less.

If you don't care about trees, you don't care about the environment. The earth is slowly losing ground to exploitation from many angles. No, people I know that are well off aren't in that category.

Trees in many places are planted on a rotational basis. They harvest a certain amount, then plant saplings there so new trees can grow and they'll have a consistent supply. .......https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tree_plantation

I imagine a true empath would be sensitive to the fact that they had completely hijacked the topic. A narcissist wouldn't care. A good reason to avoid communicating with certain foreigners I would say.

Do you not understand that it's okay to reply to others, especially if they're saying you're isolated, or they're talking bad about other foreigners and you're just sticking up for other foreigners because a few here like to trash talk them? That's not hijacking a thread. Do you expect me to not defend myself against childish and ignorant taunts?

Trolling others because they proved you wrong in other topics is a problem you have. Your comments here are totally unnecessary, as my conversations with others have nothing to do with you. Your need to put your two cents in shows a lack of restraint and a penchant for causing unwarranted trouble. You do this all the time and it's obvious not only to me. Remember we're not the only ones who read replies, and if you think others here are blind, think again..............."fred is giving me a headache. Does he ever give it a rest? Sheesh.."..............Might be a good idea to stay out of things if you're just going to troll.

Amply demonstrated.... keep it simple. Have you hijacked the thread or not? Are you discussing the topic?

Topic is "when was the last time that you spoke to a foreigner". Narcissists don't care about that, they have their own agenda. Protect their egos. Avoid such toxic foreigners.

Who are you talking to? Is it I? If you've  read, and understand all I've ever posted, it shows anyone with any psychological education what a narcissist and what an empath is. It shows how much I care for my family and others, as I try to help others here with knowledge on various subjects.

That you come across as a narcissist is evident. That you try and put that on me is also a narcissists forte. That you are too dense to understand this is also evident, along with the fact there are many here who are also intelligent enough to know what you're all about. Yes, amply demonstrated is right, but I'm thinking it's over your head. That you keep coming back shows most everyone what you are. They aren't fooled, as you have a reputation for doing this to many others.

True, individual taste. I have always thought of merlot as a diluted port, to be drunk with fig paste, water crackers and mild cheeses.

I hook up with about half-a-dozen members from the local farang geriatric and Isaan coffin-dodgers association maybe twice a week. Otherwise, living the dream at home here with about half-a-dozen shouty and pished up in-laws (outlaws) and their relatives and hangers-on would be simply too unbearable.

You sure you don't have Merlot confused with something else, as Merlot is not considered a sweet wine at all.  A favorite red wine of mine, and pairs nicely with so much, since not sweet or overly dry.

Merlots have a high tannin level and usually void of sugars after fermentation.

To be fair, it's not always friends that are the problem.  You often can't avoid a lot of these types, on public transport, walking down the street, or even at work.  Even when they're not doing it, it's often all they talk about.

As you get older and less mobile, it's natural to become more isolated.

I prefer the internet to personal contact, as I get fed up with other people very quickly, and when it happens on a forum I can just walk away at any time.

As a preference I only ever meet in person with other NES Brits.

When she pronounced it, it came out in 3-syllables.
