Is "Putinization" a more accurate way to describe what Trump is doing to America?

One can only hope so, Putin saved Russia from the nightmare the globalist asset Yeltsin (like Kasparov) had initiated. Currently supported by over 80% of his people.

  • It would sure seem those 2 are in cahoots on some level going back to helinsky and that ultra private little talk it’s almost like Putins leading him along by the hand.what else could explain the utte

And who stirred it up to this level, Hillary Clinton with her deplorables rhetoric and paid for fake Russia collusion Steele dossier and pushed on the people nonstop by the lying Dem backing lamestream media.

Let's be Frank, maybe talk facts instead of Fox-fueled fantasy.

  1. "Deplorables" wasn’t aimed at everyone. Hillary said half of Trump supporters fell into a “basket of deplorables” — racists, sexists, xenophobes, etc. Hard to argue when you look at Charlottesville, Jan 6, or Trump’s own words.

  2. Trump just called the entire left “scum” as sitting President on Memorial Day 2025:
"Happy Memorial Day to all, including the scum that spent the last four years trying to destroy our country through warped radical left minds..."
So spare the outrage over “deplorables” when your guy insults half the country during a national day of remembrance.

  3. The Steele dossier? It was opposition research — not illegal, and not what triggered the Russia probe. That began months earlier, based on intel from an Australian diplomat — not Hillary.

  4. “Fake Russia collusion”? Mueller found dozens of contacts with Russian operatives and detailed multiple cases of obstruction. Trump wasn’t exonerated — Mueller said so directly.

  5. The media? The so-called "lamestream" press reported verified facts. Meanwhile, Trump has praised dictators, attacked allies, and now used Memorial Day to divide Americans.

If you’re looking for someone who truly stirred the pot, it’s the guy who calls fellow citizens “scum” and still refuses to stand up to Putin.

Great reply but keep in mind you were replying to an avowed Z Putin advocate.

Yeah.

I consider him a traitor.

But really these are different topics.

Trump's perverted alliance with Putin vs. Trump's attempt to be the American equivalent of Putin in his own regime.

Trump considers himself as America's CEO.  He is unable to think in terms of government with checks and balances.

Good point — that context matters. When someone openly supports Putin, the goal isn’t persuasion, it’s exposure. Letting their logic collapse under facts shows exactly what kind of company Trump keeps and emboldens.

It’s not about changing their mind — it’s about making sure everyone else sees what they’re defending.

Yes and no.

Trump is grifting for his own and his families wealth and a set of crony billionaire oligarchs.

I don't think he even thinks of himself as America's CEO.

He remains head of the Trump mafia style organization but now with the most power behind that on earth.

He works AGAINST the vast majority of Americans interest INCLUDING his pathetically deluded cult members. Actively and aggressively.

In Trumpian speak -- nobody has ever seen this level of CORRUPTION in the American presidency before.

I got to "trumps own words' and wasn't worth reading any further.... the 'fine people' claim by the media and repeated by Biden has been proven as edited BS, if you refuse to accept that then you are not worth the time of day.

Here is a video quoting Snopes, I suggest you watch it and stop repeating media lies that make you look foolish.

If you don't believe this video then goto snopes directly.

It has been verified that bone-spurs trump was the worst student to ever attend Wharton. But for his rich daddy’s donations, he would not have graduated high school.

You have a copy of his transcript?

I don't believe you.

Worst at Wharton is still better than most.

The controversy is over his transfer from Fordham to Wharton. Wharton's Admission Officer commented in 2019, that the man must have had a decent enough record to be accepted, thought at the time, in the mid-60s, was that more than half of transfers from UPENN were successful, compared to 7.4% today.

In 1967, worst at Wharton was worst than most. It was then a below average college, but better than Fordham.

In 2011, as a private citizen. Trump demanded publication of Obama's academic transcript. At the same time, as a celebrity at the time, Trump arranged for his own academic records. Its also a fact that on multiple occasions he has claimed to have been top of his class.

While his academic records remain private, what are a  matter of public record are Commencement Ceremonies Invitations and Deans Lists.

https://www.insidehighered.com/quicktakes/2019/07/09/trump-overstated-academic-record-report-says

He is listed as an ordinary graduand.

Its also important to note, he did not graduate from Fordham. He did not attend the Wharton Graduate School of the University of Pennsylvania. He attended the Wharton Undergraduate School of the University of Pennsylvania. In the 60s, Wharton was then considered the easy route prior to transferring to the better College of Arts and Sciences. Its kind of like someone going to Oxford Brookes and 60 years later claiming they had graduated  from the University of Oxford.

He did not graduate with honors, such as cum laude, magna cum laude or summa cum laude. This is not conjecture, but public record. Its also a matter of fact that the school awarded honours based on GPA. A score of less than 3.40 meant no honours.

Yeah, keep stalking every move Trump has ever made in his life ..

A lot of people don't get the greatest grades but go on to achieve things.

Regarding Putinization and the overlap of the politics of Trump and Putin, Americans would be wise to learn lessons from what happened in Russia. Before it's too late. But arguably, it's already too late.

Not sure what your point is.

Democracy isn't only about what people do at election times.

Trump is a severe threat to the future of American democracy and future real elections.

Putin runs "elections" in Russia. They are meaningless.

That is Trump's goal as well and they via Project 2025 are actively working on it.

The maga movement is unfortunately bigger than just Trump.

My POINT is that Trump won't be getting a third term. One of the few things that Democrats and Republicans agree on is that two terms is enough.  Once Trump is gone his MAGA cult will dry up and blow away.

When opposition leaders get put in jail on sham charges in a kangaroo court or thrown out of windows and when there is no free press or freedom to protest (not protests supporting terrorists) or freedom to organize then maybe I'd say yes. Otherwise this is just another "Trump lives rent free" in your head thread.

The personal adoration of Trump the individual will end in 2028.  But he isn't the root cause of the movement.  He tapped into a frustration shared by millions with the direction the left was pushing the nation.  Until the Democrats understand what is driving Trumps popularity with a large swath of Americans they will continue to lose elections.

Another label word to describe the Trump 2.0 regime.

PATRIMONIALISM

A word new to me.

Connecting so well to the topic, it is asserted that Putin has been run Russia in a patrimonialist manner through most of his very, very, very long rule. But now transitioned to something more authoritarian because of the war.

I don't think this patrimonialism theory in any way refutes the use of the word Putinization to describe Trump's maga movement. It actually enhances it.

So like Trump you appear to blame Ukraine for this. You know this was where Russia invaded Ukraine (starting in 2014).

You seem to have forgotten that Yankovic was removed as PM of Ukraine in the Maidan Revolution backed and financed by the US because he was pro Russia rather than the EU. Victoria Nuland, John McCain and even Obama and Biden visited.

It was an organic uprising by Ukrainians.
