Oh don't be a reverse racist

These young boys probably behaved like that in their country and didn't know

They needed behaviour guidance not assaulted

In this case, not know, means idiot! Idiots get what´s coming.

Yes, of course. Protect the idiot foreigner.

Not a question of protecting idiot foreigners. There are literally  hundreds of them on any given night on Bangla. However, my experience has been that when there is violence with bar staff, it often originates with the bar staff. Some of the bouncers of Bangla are an arrogant and aggressive group, that get a sick joy in beating up farangs.  The amount of con artists, pickpockets, and petty thieves that populate Bangla is sickening. It is not unusual for the  crappy bars to inflate their invoices or to claim a bill was unpaid, The crippled vendors shortage on the change.   The  Bangla strip is like an open sewage ditch with chunks of crap floating by. Why anyone would want to overpay for a lousy drink in an unpleasant, noisy area defies explanation.   The foreigners and Thais alike occupy some of the lower tiers of humanity and behave like savage primitives.

Hold on.
you were claiming to have read all the posts and claimed there was no references to Jews or Israelis.

So is Bangnas referring to Jews or not?

It reads like Bagna was attempting to sow the seed of blame by asking an "innocent question". You know who else has a similar M.O.?

You. Why are you even pushing this claim, when there is no evidence to  support it? Nor is there anything to support that the foreigners initiated the altercation. All we have is an allegation that the foreigner slapped a bar worker. No details on the lead up or who threw the first slap.

Two macho men hitting a woman is OK compared to many men hitting the 2 tough guys?

Neither is okay. Taking it to extremes is worse.

It is amazing how some members are missing that point.

I don't see anyone missing that point, or saying it's okay to ever hit a woman. Quite the contrary.

Thais are cowards, seen it many times... many times a lot of Thais fighting against one or a few.. Never man to man .. First of all there should be written what happened. Nobody will hit someone without reason. But  nobody can defend himself against a group of crazy fighters... Good for the tourist industry. It is not the first time this is happening, and Phuket is not the place to be anyway

TBH no one said it's OK for 2 men to hit a woman, per se.  But I see many trying to justify the action of the two foreign men - maybe it's only me?

You don't know what happened.

Maybe he started mouthing off.

It could be something he said too, not just the slap.

As others have pointed out, they don't like farangs with superiority complexes running around like they own the joint. Still the beating is vicious and unwarranted. But human emotion is what it is.

What separates an adult from a boy is how they handle those emotions. Here they take to ganging up a lot of the times, and that kicking, sometimes in the head. It's an out of control response from someone who was never taught respect for life and restraint. It might be understandable if these men hurt your child but again what I was pointing out is it was just a slap. No words warrant that behavior and neither does a slap. Yes, some dislike foreigners for a number of prejudiced reasons, but this isn't the way things are handled by men.

A violent incident in Phuket’s Bangla Road nightlife district has sparked widespread debate after two foreign tourists allegedly assaulted a Thai woman in a bar, prompting a group of local men to retaliate with a fierce physical attack that left the visitors unconscious.

The confrontation, which occurred in the Patong area of Kathu district, was captured in a 22-second video clip and widely shared by the local Facebook page โหดจัง จังหวัดภูเก็ต (Brutal Phuket). The footage shows several Thai men rushing to attack the two intoxicated tourists, reportedly after the pair slapped a woman inside the venue.

The attackers are seen punching and kicking the tourists, ultimately leaving both men motionless on the ground. The clip was captioned, “Low-quality tourists slap a woman in a bar and get thoroughly beaten in return.”

The incident has ignited a firestorm on Thai social media, with netizens expressing a range of reactions. While some praised the locals for defending the woman’s dignity, others lamented the rising violence and lawlessness tarnishing Phuket’s once, charming image.

Comments ranged from concern to applause:

• “Phuket gets more barbaric by the day. It’s losing its beauty due to a few selfish people.”

• “Incidents like this will drive away quality tourists. Who would feel safe with visa-free policies attracting this kind of behaviour?”

• “This needs to happen more often, fewer tourists might mean fewer problems.”

• “This isn’t about visas, it’s about people. We shouldn’t tolerate disrespectful behaviour from anyone.”

• “Well done to the Thai guys. That’s how you deal with it, give them something to remember.”

Authorities have yet to issue an official statement on the incident, and it is unclear whether any arrests have been made. The viral video has further fuelled ongoing concerns about the safety of both locals and visitors amid increasing reports of crime and unruly behaviour.

You are soo misinformed, my friend. Sure, there are hundreds of idiots out in such areas, as they attract all kinds of people. However, if you have hundreds of idiots, then I guess the guards don´t have to look very far to find those idiots. I have been living in Thailand for over 27 years, and I been out in the country, been living in Pattaya, and Bangkok and many times on visit to Phuket, Krabi and more. As I always behaved good, I´ve never had any bar staff nor guards done anything more than smiling at me.

Also how you can speak like you do about one of the worlds most popular entertainment areas is baffling. Just because you are of that opinion, doesn´t make it like that for all others. Like me, for example. Never had a problem and always have smiling and friendly people around me. Sure, if thinking like you do, and walking in with a negative to bad attitude to everything, then you actually might find yourself in problem as it rubs of on other people just as much as a smile and a friendly attitude. Let´s just say like this. people who are negative, does not belong in happy entertainment areas. Just leave that to positive people who can take things for what it is.

Some areas here are very popular as an entertainment center because they have prostitution, bars and food. They aren't the family friendly places they promote them as. They just want as many people coming as possible to make that money. They don't care what happens to tourists as long as they spend money and leave. If they did care the amount of crime would be reduced by enforcement. There are many such places worldwide that have the same things, and many flock to them because of it.

His deduction is spot on, as it is for NYC, Bangkok, Dallas, Los Angeles, Tokyo and many other places. With good entertainment and positive things comes the bad, because the bad means money also. Yes, you can behave well and never have trouble in these places, or you can be in the wrong place at the wrong time and end up being a victim of a criminal.

Pattaya is very popular because of the women there. With those women comes scams, fights, STD's, theft and good times for some. Remember a lot of the smiles are there because they think they can profit from foreigners. There are many people in those "happy entertainment centers" that are there to make money from tourists, any way they can get it. Crime will always come from these areas because crime makes profits. The best way to avoid crime is to stay away from these places, but if it's what you like, you take that risk going there, because they will never change.

encouraging this lawless behavior tells a lot about you

the police should been called and let them deal with it lawfully

Ya right the police will help,

If it was you sister wife or daughter slapped. Would you dial 999?  Or maybe tourist police. Or make a formal complaint in the suggestion box as you leave?

Right. Mob rule is the best way to go. It’s why most countries don’t bother with a police force to enforce laws. 🙄

Instead of cheering on the vigilantes, how about calling for the rule of law supported by effective enforcement by the police? Do you think these images are going to encourage law abiding quality tourists to visit Thailand any time soon?

Go about slapping a woman in public areas in most countries you are asking for trouble.

Although from the amount of dislikes on some comments posted it seems some on here are quite happy with slapping a woman ! 😒

The poor quality of the video when you looked to me were two ties and one foreigner which is very unusual for this country because usually it’s like five or six ties against one foreigner TIT

As a former near daily patron of the red-light district in Manila, Philippines, my only comment is.....what the heck do Thai people expect to happen when you drop a tourist from any social background into a cesspool of alcohol and drunkenness, drugs, prostitution and greedy flirty women? Hiso and Lowso tourists alike are predisposed to turning into complete sloppy uncontrollable drunks who otherwise might be perfect gentlemen when they are not exposed to such a lascivious lifestyle. Under no circumstances is it ever justified for an unruly tourist to be the victim of a beatdown by a group of men who are hell bent on kicking their brains out on the pavement. Drunken patrons should be expected and anticipated, and security should be well trained to deal with these types of circumstances without using gestapo tactics.

I liked his comment, it was brief and to the point. He was congratulating for a job well done.

You do know that you can keep scrolling without being offensive and hostile.

I find those members with the tiny minds are the antagonizing type, always hate in their comments

In my opinion men hitting/slapping women is totally unacceptable, whatever the circumstances. If this story is true I hope this drunken duo are located, punished with a short jail sentence and a fine, and then deported never to return.
