So I messaged my new fling last night and we had a video call. all was going well until some thai fella appeared in the background of the call, full of tattoos and shouting and swearing at me in Thai. Her apartment looked very messy and I'm assuming that was her boyfriend.

I called into 7/11 this evening and bought a small bar of chocolate and a small bottle of cold pressed coconut oil. I explained in my appalling Thai  to the serving girl, with whom I regularly joke, that the chocolate was for my tummy and the oil was for shaving. She unleashed the typical 1000 megawat Thai smile, gently prodded my tummy and ran her hand across my chin. I didnt ride the 5km home lost in anticipation of congress with a girl some 40 odd years younger than me! Thai girls smile and flirt, it is in their nature. It is one of the things which make living here pleasant! It means nothing.

If @Cornish Pasty is indeed another incarnation of Bob, Colin, Elvis, etc. (and I think it is very likely) we need to recognise that aseannow relies on clicks for its very existence (unless you all want to pay fees) and Bob, Colin, Elvis, etc. do generate lots of clicks.

 

Personally, I find that aseannow (aka thaivisa) has been, and still is, such a valuable source of information and entertainment for the past 20 years or so.  I can put up with a few "Bobs" and even have a laugh at their nonsense.
