There was so much violence that even the LAPD refused to enter the area to rescue other policemen prior to the NG arriving. 

The have no permission to have this show of people on the streets against Immigration arresting of at least 11 hard core illigal aliens already. This massing of people are throwing rocks and attacking the police and NG and ICE agents and their local police and government failed to act on it. They are now looting as well.  The NG was needed to quell the violence and the governor was reluctant and the mayor was scared. Simple as that. Trump needed to step in.

 

As for ICE, they were doing their jobs enforcing immigration rules and arresting illegals in compliance with the law. 

 

By the way, throughout the years, Immigration has raided areas in LA known for harboring or putting illegals to work. They have raided many businesses full of illegal mexican workers. Yet, because Trump was not president then, nothing was said by locals legal citizens. The only thing that has changed now is that he is President and enforcing the laws that were in place before BIden.

You're correct. The cops didn't die on the 6th itself. One died the next day as a result of what happened on the 6th, and four more killed themselves because of it.
