Win Big in Thailand: Foreigners Welcome to Try Their Luck in the Lottery

Featured Replies

Why play the Thai lottery. In Belgium we have two times a week (wednesday and saturday) the normal National lottery. Minimum one million euro to win (taxfree). By no win the amount is everytime increased by 500.000 euro. I am in Thailand now and I can play this lottery on line. We also can play euromillions and all t(he European lottery games on line. Why would we buy a Thai lottery ticket with no fixed price with a midget win of 6 million baht whit tax implications where the anonymity is not guaranteed and where there are probably other issues for alliens.

Well done.

You have to look at the numbers of the previous 5 draws and get yer system in place. It's not hard. But takes a bit of time. The lucky bit is finding the winning numbers. But there are 1000s of venders so it can be done.

When Kham Chanod was in full swing, there were over100 lottery girls all lined up. I think the 6 million ticket has come from there three times.

Just buying any old ticket is a waster of time and money; IMO.

Thank you for your advice! I'll try to use that. 😄

I can waste $2 on USA lotteries and win $1 M USD, minimum, if not $100M, instead of $3 on Thai lottery for $194k USD.

I consider it a donation.  Played for 3 years never won anything.  Girlfriend won two numbers.

Thai lottery is poor value comparitively.

Every lottery, without exception. is poor value...except to the winner.

Not sure what you're trying to prove. I used basic mathematics.....divided 48,000,000 by 14,168

"The Thai lottery features multiple prize categories, boasting a hefty total prize pool of 48 million baht across 14,168 winning tickets."

That equates to an average of 3,300 THB per winning ticket......a joke for sure!

Not trying to 'prove' anything bro. Just pointing out that the Thai Lottery is quite opaque and not open to much scrutiny.

Someone could, of course, point to where the organisers keep their archives and stats.

Way back when I used to see tickets selling for 80 now I haven’t seen any tickets selling at that price is all 100 scam 20 rock at the top secondly for the money across for one ticket and the actual winnings it’s the worst lottery in the world TIT

I have heard lottery buyers are steadily on the decrease among Thai population.

So are they now trying to make up for their losses by marketing it to expats?

I despise it when I go eat lunch somewhere and in comes 20 different dirty raggedly dressed folks, still with sunglasses, hat, and scarf/towel over their face, hawking their tickets.

Totally different effect than those scantily clad beauties in Vegas selling Keno tickets.

It seems that some visitors resent the hard push to buy a lottery ticket. The Pattaya Mail reports one saying,

“I buy food, I rent a condo, I tip generously. Why would I need to buy a lottery ticket to support local business?” asked one longtime visitor. “What’s next — tipping the construction workers?”

To the best of my knowledge no farang has ever won one of the top lottery payouts...Not a single time....At least in the last 20 years, and very possibly in entire history of the Thai lottery....

If we farangs all bought some saffron robes our chances would increase. Gotta feel happy when a monk wins BIG time (even at golf.)🙃🙃

Tipping the nurse at the hospital.

Just won 4000 (without taxes) this month with the last three digits.
