My reading skills are fine, thanks.
Perhaps it's your writing skills.

"The age will determine your premium and will not change your whole life". - No change in premiums for life, got it!

"Claims will increase the premium for a certain time only".  - Wait, that's a contradiction from the previous sentence. So the premiums will increase after a claim, and do not remain the same for life, got it!

No, it's not a contradiction.

If no claim, no increase. If claim, increase for a certain time, then decrease.

I really don't know what are your cognitive problems

Wrong insurance

I requested a quote from WRLIFE, how can it be wrong.

I'm very sure you paid more than 120.000 Baht per year for all your operations. So it's absolutely wrong what you wrote.

Wrong!

About 150,000 BHT over a 12-year period, circa 12,500 per year.

You have absolutely no idea of folks ages or any preexisting conditions which affect the cost of a policy.

Ignored!

Nothing like watching someone writing confidently about something they know nothing about.

Wow! Starting a thread like this on here considering the level of compassion generally shown... is, well, asking for it on the snarky front.

Yes indeed, and well aware. As the pearl fishermen do, one can only live in hope.

A few days ago I heard he was out of hospital so gave him a call. He is still on IV antibiotics and unable to walk. It would appear that it all kicked off with backache and when it got severe his wife took him along to Bangkok hospital that he had been using for a few years. Showed up that infected blood had reached his heart and needed urgent surgery so was transferred to the government hospital. He had gone into a coma that lasted for about 10 day so quite oblivious to what was happening. It was his eldest son and daughter from a previous marriage in the UK that started the fund, I sense a certain mistrust of the Thai medical profession and was looking to a medical evacuation.

When I spoke to him he had little idea of what had transpired, only that he had heard something about a campaign but couldn't find it on Facebook, asked how he could find it and I sent him the link. He still has severe infection in the spine along with heart problems and is due an assessment, I think today, but looks like further surgery will be required on both heart and spine.

His wife is in quite an unenviable position, she now has both a mother and husband with life threatening conditions, her father died suddenly in 2016 following an accident while on holiday in Koh Larn. Both her daughters, although they have been here, need to return to their work in the UK. Ironically both starting careers in the medical profession.

Exactly.

WRLIFE say pre-existing conditions will be "CONSIDERED".

Maybe the self appointed gurus on health insurance can tell us what that actually means in respect of heart conditions and at what cost.

Not holding my breath.

The insurance runs up to your end.

Go for a quotation: WRLIFE

Premium fixed.... if there are no claims.

I am glad for both of you.

Like you, Sandy, I am old, but during my lifetime I have known and met hundreds of people, but I chose my friends wisely.

I have few people here on ANN that i would even consider as friends.

You're good at insulting others that have a different opinion than your own on an open forum.

Why bait and flame for an argument, can't you just accept folk have different circumstances and opinions than yourself, and move on!

If you go a little bit back and follow those comments from the beginning, you would realize that is not about different opinions but facts.

And if somebody fake facts or doesn't want to accept facts then it's going to end in problems.

To make it short: you are WRONG.

Do yourself a favour and read from the beginning.

So which part of 'Maximum of 3% renewal increase'  didn't you understand.

You have no right to preach facts to anyone.

This thread is almost 3 weeks old.

If you want to know about this WRLIFE insurance I advice you to go for a personal quotation. You can expect to get a contract and you will be also advised to read and hopefully to understand the small prints.

What you present here is NOT a quotation. If you don't know what a quotation is, please ask Google.

Further replies will not be commented or answered.

In case you missed it on page 2, I did get a quote.
The annual premium was more than I've paid total in the last 12 years, paying as I go.

The only fact is that you want to express an opinion with no knowledge of the facts.

Your words

"Why your friend can't get an insurance? Even with preconditions or in old age it's possible."

It was quite clear in the text from the original post.

"My father has lived in Thailand for several years as an expat. Unfortunately, due to pre-existing health issues, he has no insurance, and cannot access NHS care unless we get him safely home — something we are currently not able to do in his condition."

You really need to grow up and realise what you may be able to do is not open to everyone else. You have well and truly distorted this thread with your ridiculous comments and I think it best if the mods closed it down.

Your topic @sandyf. You can request the mods close the topic.

Despite his false promises to refrain any further, that may be the only way to shut him down.

Would the mods please close this topic.

They would rather die than sell land for medical bills. If no insurance for what ever reason you really do need a few million baht put aside for medicals. if you cant afford government hospital prices like his you should not be here. Oh the form on the go save me site says Bangkok Hospital, 1 million seems cheap for heart surgery. Why in one of the top expensive Hospitals if you are potless?

And he's off like a bottle rocket (again).

How has this guy's poor life choices triggered your perpetual, "If you cant afford government hospital prices like his you should not be here" so quickly?
