A word of warning-

Class tramadol with heroin and cocaine, says Northern Ireland medical expert.

But i was prescribed Tramadol by my GP for a spine injury and became addicted. I woke up every morning deeply depressed craving a Tramadol fix. Took me 6 months to get it out of my system.

Brother is using it  to kick another opiate  habit.  Now he is weird all the time.  Cold turkey if possible but easy for me to say as I have never been addicted to any drug.

what if you have diabetes, no symptoms and beautiful legs like me?

Diabetes is a serious disease, weird how people don't treat it seriously

The gel doesn't do much for me. Just sayin..

The gel is an anti-inflammatory and may not help muscle aches.  For sore muscles I would use a liniment such as Tiger Balm.

Been here 30 years, what is your point?

Tramadol is classified as a pharmacist-only (restricted) medicine by the Food and Drug Administration of Thailand (Thai FDA).  Because of concern about its abuse, in September 2013 the Thai FDA announced a policy to control the distribution of tramadol in community pharmacies.

That doesn't mean it isn't available illegally, many things are, but it is not a simple OTC drug.

My point is, as a reply to the below that basically reply to a true post, with a kind of remark that it was wrong. The fact is that it´s available in most pharmacies. If you post it´s not an over-counter drug, has no point as it is available as such. Get it now? If not, it must have been 30 wasted years. 😂

Tramadol is an opiate, not an over-the-counter drug.

You need to find a "good" pharmacy; one that will sell you opiates such as Tramadol. I recommend LD Cream which you can only get at certain pharmacys. It's Lidocaine 10% and works very fast.

In the meantime consider a hospital visit and X ray to understand the problem.

You do see people who look like they are in the middle of a slow death

I was recommended Tramadol by a doc a couple of years back and Ive used them ever since, when necessary. No sign of addiction.

I agree, I have been taking Tramodol for over twenty years on and off for a herniated disk and other injuries. I have never gotten addicted to them. Tramadol is the best pain medication and much safer than over the counter drugs such as naproxen, ibuprofen which will destroy your liver.

Naproxen isn’t a painkiller, but an antibiotic

not saying it doesn’t work, because it does, but treat it the same way you would any AB to ensure its long term effectiveness

Do you mean anti-inflammatory?

Cuz Naproxen is an NSAID, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory (D for I dunno).

I don't think it's an antibiotic.

Sorry, you’re right

I take the Naproxen WITH an AB

getting the two muxed ip

It's neither.......it's a NSAID......it works by inhibiting cyclooxygenase (COX-1 and COX-2) enzymes, reducing the production of prostaglandins that cause inflammation, pain, and fever.

I’ve already corrected myself in another post, but I didn’t bother with the wiki description

I have lower back pain and have tried Naproxen, Tylenol, Ibuprofen, Diclofenac Oral, with only moderate pain relief . The only med that alleviates back pain is one containing  Tramadol but use it only occasionally due to possible addiction. My brother used a pain med for back pain and became addicted to it thus I am leery of continued use of Tramadol. However it completely eliminates any pain .

I also use Diclofenac gel for Achilles tendonitis which is very effective.  Will try Celebrex and see how that works for back pain.

I use this for back and shoulder pain when my dislocated shoulder pain gets inflamed…

30 baht for a box on 10… Most local pharmacies have it, just show pic of box…

Celebrex is good but if you're inclined to stomach problems have to take it with antacids. Need about 3 days of 200mg, but if you don't have pain don't take them.

what is a best painkiller over the counter to buy in thailand  for knee pain

anotherexpat, you didn't mention the cause of your knee pain? That might be important as to the type of painkiller you need. Or possibly you need a knee replacement?
