I got a form posted to me to fill in and send to Wolverhampton I filled in all the details, got my local doctor to sign and stamp it, then sent it to the address  by registered letter at a cost of 250Bt.

Roughly how long does it take from the time to post a proof of life form to the DWP in Wolverhampton by registered post in Thailand, cost 250Bt, to the time my pension is reinstated?

I posted it on Mon 7th July with all the details they asked for including the signature and stamp from my local doctor? I still have the receipt?

I went to the local post office last week and showed them my receipt and they said it arrived 6 days after I posted it.

I didn't receive my Pension last month. Suspecting that it was a LC issue I rang them. Had to wait 10 mins to answer, then was put though to an operative. After going though security and informed her that I had not received LC. Was then told that Pension would be restored and would not have to send a LC. Payment was made 5 days later.

Recorded male voice was loud and clear. Have you a cheap phone company to call ?

I did, I still have it. The PO gave me three sheets of paper with the dates and times on it. I just want to know how long it should take till my pension is reinstated.

My witnessed life cert was successfully delivered to Wolverhampton on 29 January, but a subsequent enquiry to DWP indicated that this wasn't processed at their end until 20 February. On this basis you should, I think, bank on a bare minimum of 3 (and more likely 4) weeks from when your life cert is received at Wolverhampton for your pension payments to be reinstated.

That's what I was really wanting to know. Thanks.

Your pension would have been reinstated immediately if you had rung them and answered a couple of security questions.  You would still have had to return the  form, but the pressure would be off.

mine was 6 weeks, no action, so i got a UK relative to call the international pension centre (freephone in UK). the employee told the relative it was approved but not yet actioned, and did it while relative was on the phone. I think 8 weeks would be an acerage delay

I am surprised the IPC would accept a UK relative acting on behalf of the pension holder, but good news 👍

he used to work for the civil service, so "speaks the bureaucratese" 😄 i did give all the relevant information, NI No, sent copies of the form. It isn't as if there was a problem with it. I was concerned, given the delay. DWP claimed they had sent the form in January (never received), then stopped pension at the start of May and sent the form which took 6 weeks to arrive, and said if no response by the end of August it would be cancelled entirely. I had had to get a lawyer to sign the "proof of life", no other possible witness 😬
