It's just one of those noob mistakes people make, clearly the girl didn't want to be with the guy, maybe even meeting someone else after. The mate needs to learn pretty quick, staff are pros at playing people

Typically a girl coming to work in a bar, trying to find a regular foreign partner in life.

 

This guy must not have met her criteria, not a keeper one would presume...

The bar said she didn't come back... - If so, nothing they can do. But if not true (this being a beer bar), I would keep an eye out for her, then remind the mamasan of the unfinished transaction once she is back...

 

As prostitution is 'illegal' in Thailand, not much else you can do.

That's really back luck. I met a girl, who was on her first day at the Kangaroo bar so 15 years ago and I can hear her preparing dinner right now. Wasn't a bar fine though.

Seriously ? She is a con artist, so the best thing is to go to the Tourist police who help you to file a scam report.

Perhaps not but probably doesn't deserve to be mugged off like this. Mind you, I don't know how he behaved during the course of the evening. Only the OP can really answer this. Already mentioned sucking of norks etc. Not sure which of them was doing the sucking. Maybe he is a fat bloke with Moobs which adds some credence to your suggestion of 'not a keeper'.

I am lucky indeed, I was on a fun&diving trip, had just booked my dives, about 11 am, wanted a coffee so went down to Starbucks, walked past Kangaroo gave my best smile to the girls who were setting up. Starbucks was full of pink, fat blondes, yuk. Retreated to K Bar and asked for a coffee there, big laugh all round and had my first Singh at 11 am. But there she was, she came to my room 3 days later and never left. She left Kangaroo a week after and worked with Jenny tours for a couple of years, until I got her pregnant.
