Nearly 40% of London Sex Offence Suspects Since 2018 Are Foreign Nationals, Police Data Shows

New figures released by the Metropolitan Police reveal that foreign nationals have been charged in nearly four out of ten sexual offence cases in London over the past seven years.

 

According to the data, 2,809 of the 7,798 recorded charges for sexual offences in the capital since 2018 involved non-British individuals, despite foreign nationals accounting for less than a quarter of London’s population. Over that period, the total number of charges for sexual offences has nearly doubled.

 

Romanian nationals accounted for the highest number of sexual offence charges among foreign nationals, with 308 recorded cases. Afghan nationals, with 89 charges, represented the highest rate relative to their estimated population of around 12,000 in London.

 

The statistics were obtained by the Centre for Migration Control, which requested a breakdown of the nationality of individuals charged with sexual offences between 2018 and 2024. The results showed 4,631 charges involved British citizens, 2,809 involved non-British individuals, and 358 were of unknown nationality.

 

Including those with unknown nationality in the foreign national category would mean non-British suspects were responsible for 40.6% of the charges. Excluding them places the figure at 37.8%.

 

Robert Bates, Research Director at the Centre for Migration Control, said: “Our capital city is stuck in the depths of lawless decay. The spike in sexual offences against women and girls is directly attributable to our open borders.

“Any foreign national found guilty of these crimes must be deported without question, and those nationalities overrepresented in crime statistics must face visa restrictions. It is time to be unashamedly robust in protecting British decency and making sure our streets are safe.”

 

A spokesperson for the Home Office responded: “Those who commit sex crimes are despicable, causing the most unimaginable harm to victims and survivors.

 

“It is this government’s mission to halve violence against women and girls in a decade.

“We continue to deport foreign nationals who commit heinous crimes to ensure they are not left free on our streets. Since the election, over 35,000 individuals have been removed from the UK, including a 14% increase in the number of foreign national offenders.”

But if the overall figures above, are representative of London, only about 11% are actually apprehended.

Nearly 40% are foreign nationals.  What about the other sex attackers who have acquired British citizenship, either by themselves or through descent?

Rather than reporting by nationality, statistics should be produced by ethnicity.  This would clear up the stereotype that certain races are more inclined to sexual assault than native British people.  (Or perhaps not.)

Well my big concern is some of these Romanians may be crossed-eyed and have been locked up for looking at women when they weren't....... you get an automatic two year jail sentence for that now......so maybe these stats are a little skewed.

Interesting graph about the prison population percentages...seems UK is not doing that bad.

You would expect foreigners seeking 'asylum' or hoping to make a life in the UK would behave impeccably. Yet proportionally they're committing significantly more sexual crimes.

That's because UK judges prefer locking up indigenous people like Lucy Connolly. They tend to make excuses for anyone else and prefer suspended sentences wherever possible. It's known as 2 tier Britain, you may have heard of it.
