Trump fires person in charge of jobs report

Trump claims he hires only the best people. Praises them to the skies when appointed.

Of course, the MAGA faithful can't see the contradiction when he subsequently fires them.

She was a Biden appointee.   Look at her.  Surprised she lasted as long as she did.

He is known for firing incompetent people.  Rightfully so.   Remember his famous slogan “You’re fired “.  There was a reason.   You must be on top of your game to work for Trump.

You wouldn't want some sort of analysis, some sort of evidence, from your dear leader? Troll.

Biden fired a total of 8 officials during his tenure.

His National Security Adviser, Jake Sullivan, served for Biden's full term.

Trump fired three National Security Advisers. Not enough @rse-kissing.

Trump's record of firings looks like a slaughterhouse. Quite apart from senior staff, there's about 180,000 federal employees thrown out of work.

There’s another way federal data is being undermined, said Steve Pierson: across-the-board job cuts initiated by DOGE starting at the beginning of the Trump administration, which Pierson estimates led to 15% to 40% staff attrition at some statistical agencies.

“The biggest impacts so far have been just the reductions of force, which are collateral damage,” said Pierson, leaving fewer trained statisticians to sample, survey, and analyze results for error, seasonal, or regional variation. (ASA is monitoring individual actions to change federal databases and data collection here.)

This, combined with funding cuts, is starting to impact core economic data, like the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ consumer price index, said Michael Strain at the American Enterprise Institute.

If the job figure aren’t good, the consumer confidence figures will decline, personal debt data will rise, unemployment claims will rise, sales data will decline, business profits will fall.

We can look forward to the firing of anyone reporting these data.

That prediction didn’t take long coming true:

This ongoing discussion — the thread — has slowly unspooled something far more troubling beneath its surface: the threat of institutional storytelling overtaking factual integrity.

What follows is a satirical recruitment poster, featuring three fictional roles that each point — unmistakably — to public figures known for serious research misconduct.

Under current U.S. parody law, I cannot show their faces — and frankly, I don’t need to.
Their reputations speak loudly enough.

Trump successfully moves the narrative from poor employment figures (negatively affected by tariffs as companies plan recruitment with years in mind and can't do that now as it is "tariffs-on, tariffs-off" leading to postponement and cancellation of hiring)

to Biden appointees are a fifth column.

And woe betide anyone talk about what Epstein and Trump did together.

It is all about shifting the narrative.

It's interesting to compare the beginning of Trump's mandate with the end of Biden's mandate.

So since February, Average monthly job growth = 557,000 ÷ 5 = 111,400 jobs per month.

Compared to average job growth under the last 12 months under Biden (270,800/month), it is a massive failure! 🤣🤣🤣

https://www.bls.gov/news.release/empsit.nr0.htm

This is not incoherent, as GDP growth in 2025 is also expected to be around half the growth under Biden.

Does the fact Trump isn't even the Second Coming of L Ron Hubbard make you Angrierguy?

Maybe find a new deity, because the obese, mendacious, self-serving, corrupt, mentally deteriorating clown (No, he did not stop the carnage in Rwanda in 1994) isn't close to omnipotent. In fact, not even competent.

I really don't know what upsets MAGAs so much about illegals working and contributing both taxes and doing things many Americans choose not to do.  I do understand actual violent criminals being rounded up and deported (and I wish the violent terrorist of 6 January 2021 were not pardoned despite their wanton aggression), and stricter control of the borders, but unless MAGAs are dreaming about strawberry picking and cutting up dead animals in an abattoir, I don't really know what put the hair across their fannies. Even farmers would like to retain the migrant workers who harvest crops before spoilage.

Of course I do know that since MAGAs are on the lower end of the intelligence and education scale, it is their jobs---farm workers, manual laborers, truck drivers, janitors, etc.---most at risk from illegal immigrants.

100%...commit a crime that results in a prison sentence...boom..... you are gone.

Controlled immigration 100%....whether it is a fruit picker or Silicon Valley CEO.

But 99% of what is happening is pure (very expensive) theatre....red meat for the MAGA cult......sad.

“Bull” Halsey,  A REAL ADMIRAL!

Halsey, the perfect Trump admiral. Stirred his fleet into two typhoons. Nimitz said "guilty of gross stupidity." ---

But fortune soon turned against the Third Fleet commander in the form of two typhoons. Most destructive was the first, in December 1944, which claimed three destroyers and hundreds of men and aircraft. A court of inquiry judged that Halsey was primarily to blame, but both Nimitz and King added endorsements that largely nullified the verdict. When his fleet was caught once more by a typhoon in May 1945, Halsey again was found responsible. Nimitz decided that Halsey was guilty of gross stupidity in both typhoons, and only King’s appreciation of his past service and the expected effect on national morale saved Halsey from retirement.  https://www.usni.org/magazines/naval-history-magazine/2017/october/seven-decades-debate

Admiral Halsey would most likely kick the daylights out of someone who insulted the grandson POW of one of his carrier task force commanders who BTW was the leader of the cactus Air Force during the early part of the Guadalcanal campaign…..perhaps your cartoon pushing man baby bible salesman should stick to selling Chinese bibles and riding da das limo a nursing those pesky bone spurs……and just were am I known for lying?some examples please.

That might be true, about the kicking, because Halsey in some ways was the Patton of the Pacific. But he was a blunderer, too. In the largest naval battle in history, at Leyte Gulf, Halsey went for the decoy fleet and left the invasion force undefended. Only the heroics of Taffy 3, led by the USS Johnston, saved the day. The Johnston, a destroyer, scared off the Japanese battle fleet that had come up behind the decoy that Halsey fell for.

Trump fires person in charge of jobs report

That's very concerning and is reminiscent of that type of stuff that happened in the Soviet Union. It seems as though Trump is trying on Stalin's shoes to see if they fit.

Not a chance with those huge, bloated plates of meat he is now lugging around.

Trump is such a tiny man, he's such a pathetic worm, that he just can't stand anyone revealing the truth and contradicting his alternative reality. Such a lowlife. Such a blight on America.

Nothing he does or says at this point should be given any credit, and believe anything that he says at your own peril.

Indeed! Well, at least she's likely not going to be executed! 🙂

The results of Olimpiy Kvitkin's census were simply unpublishable. Within days of the first, still-secret findings being delivered to the Kremlin, he and three senior colleagues were arrested.

The Bolshevik journal claimed a "serpent's nest of traitors in the apparatus of Soviet statistics" had been crushed. Pravda said the men had "exerted themselves to diminish the numbers of the population of the USSR". Though the diminishing was, in fact, the fault of Josef Stalin's brutal policies.

Olimpiy Kvitkin was shot on 28 September 1937 and buried in a mass grave in the beautiful red-brick Donskoy cemetery in Moscow.

Who are you gonna trust?' Economist warns Trump is poisoning America’s fiscal reputation

Speaking to MSNBC on Friday, Gene Sperling, former director of the National Economic Council, said that no one should underestimate how damaging this can be to assault economic institutions like the BLS.

This is piling on more and more "abuse and attack on the rule of law and economic integrity," he warned. It also comes as Trump extorts law firms, colleges and universities, he added.

Risk Reversal Advisors Principal Dan Nathan told substitute host Stephanie Ruhle that this was the "first time that investors truly began paying attention to some of the funny business that's been going on."

So you are suggesting these reports can't be fudged? You are naive, but as long as it gives you an "I hate Trump" talking point to rant about, you're happy.

Some people likely made a fortune by shorting the USD, which also made Trump look bad at the same time. That's a huge incentive to use fake numbers, but you believe everyone is honest. Take your head out of the sand and take a look around.

Something that puzzles me about trump supporters is their desperate denial of the obvious…….look at trump he is infamous for cooking the books,it’s what he does it’s his go to conn, why when he’s caught out on this would things be different? If I recall correctly isent he convicted for falsely claiming financial facts, why would this be different?stop living in denial it makes you look gullible/stupid.
