Will Trump's "war on facts" eventually catch up with him?

List your yearly achievements. Lets compare to Trump.

I could never lower myself to that idiot's level of non achievements!

I don't think anyone apart from yourself that is!

2x Pres is non achievement? Aren't you just a pensioner? He is signing orders daily. Glad you compared me to him and not you. He's a winner.

These no hopers have done 0.1% of anything Trump has.

Hopefully you're right.

- 0.1% of the crimes.

- 0.1% of the treason.

- 0.1% of the grifting.

- 0.1% of the p***y grabbing.

- 0.1% of the wrecking of the reputation of the US.

- 0.1% of the backstabbing of old allies.

- 0.1% of the blackmailing of a nation who are fighting for its existence.

I could go on and on here, but you get my drift, right?

So lets say that leftists in thailand are correct and trump destroys the US, do they think they are insulated in thailand? Why hope for the world changing so drastically?

Actually, I do.

My assets are in Australian dollars, which can only go up if the USD tanks. There's enough at current yearly expenditure to last until I am 105. The shares I own are oriented towards trade with China, the US is peripheral.

I don't hope for the world to change so drastically; however, the signs are there. Once the world loses confidence in the economic data put out by a country, their currency follows.

IMO  Canada and Australia are the chief beneficiaries of the Trump idiocy.

You think your dollar would be fine even though its headed down faster than the us dollar already even with the US doing well?

Even highly intelligent, high IQ people, can have bad results in some subjects, Einstein famously had poor academic results in some subjects, as shown here:

https://www.openculture.com/2025/06/albert-einsteins-grades-a-look-at-his-report-cards.html

Why would Trump expose himself to such an analysis when he knows he's a high IQ person already. Precisely because of this he knows that he's better off keeping his report cards confidential.

It was pretty impressive when he did that test where he could tell between an elephant and a giraffe . He could repeat - person woman man camera tv. Was not shy then about his huge intelligence.

Well, that was impressive, wasn't it! Never mind that he couldn't differentiate between a simple cognitive test and an actual IQ test - he aced it!

Now, if he'd done that cognitive test today the result would have been very different, obviously.

That's such a malicious misrepresentation of the Montreal Cognitive Assessment, sure the first few questions are easy, but the last five questions are harder!

Unsurprisingly Trump aced this test too. As always.

Let's see it live on tv.

I don't believe the older results either.

He lies about everything.

The overall trend is up since April. Anyone with statistical training does not look at point to point variation.

Please tell me how the US is doing well by increasing the tax burden on its citizens with tariffs - except for billionaires, of course.

Please tell me how having a mountain of unsold corn clogging the silos of America is doing well.

Please tell me how having 100,000 unemployed aluminium workers due to business closures is doing well.

Are you one of the morons who believes tariffs are paid by the countries exporting goods and services to the US?

Most were lawfare.  Some possibly had merit.  I don't believer for a minute that he's a pillar of morality. He's a capitalist, and overall a fairly successful one.  Do I like capitalists.  Not particularly as most, including Trump, or predatory bottom-feeders.

Australia had one of the lowest death rates per capita during COVID.  America had one of the highest.

Everyone had a stock market crash in 2020. One year later, the Australian stock market was 50% higher.

I made some nice profits buying value stocks in 2020.

By pretty much any measure.

Have you seen the SP 500 lately?

These were BS changes.

Why do you not like capitalists?   Capitalism is boss.

You do realize he was tried and convicted in a court of law? That's right, the POTUS is a convicted felon, who is also guilty of an attempted coup for which he has yet to face the consequences.

And for the C in C that means one thing only; a firing squad.

You do realize these were trumped-up charges.   And the rest of your post is BS.

Trump claims higher tariffs would have prevented the Great Depression.

I don't have a Phd in economics and I really don't understand all the complexities of tariffs.

They appear to be double-edged swords, like interest rates. Higher or lower interest rates affect different aspects of the economy positively and other aspects negatively. Same with tariffs. They keep changing, so no one seems to agree what the ideal level should be.

It does baffle me how Trump  can be described as a successful capitalist. Three casinos went bankrupt under his management.

Casinos are places where people line up to give the casino money, at a guaranteed house return averaging 15%.

It's like going broke owning a brewery in Australia.

So? I have not paid tax for 10 years.

You are omitting what the tariffs will cost Americans. They are taxes too.
