I consider every morning in Thailand to be a great morning, I'm always really happy to wake up here. Beats the hell out of countless other places that I can think of.

Nice view of the mountains 👍   Maybe after your cycle/walk attend to those weeds in the yard, please. 😊

One might have thought your time would be more productively spent tidying up the garden?

My solar panels. Easier to clean on a wall than the roof.

I saw that and was like - "Good idea!"  But my dogs probably would want to lounge on them.

You hit the nail directly on the head!  this is still paradise no matter where you compare it to but expecially to some of those places we have lived previously.

You want to get the weed whacker out while you're waiting for your mate, in fact get him to pitch in, willing hands make light work!

Yes, it's a beautiful day here in Pattaya, too.  My pool awaits after some exercise.

Living so close to nature, do you ever get Snakes in the Garden or House?

I get all manner of snakes. lizards. nasty biting insects the odd scorpion. soi dogs  and the occasional village kid looking for something to "borrow",

Btw, those big monitor lizards don't travel well across tiled flooring !😁

Here I am, sitting on my patio with a mug of tea at 7:15am, looking at the mountains.

The temp is 25c, the sun is shining, the birds are tweeting.

Waiting for a pal to turn up so we can go cycling/walking/drinking coffee.

Doing exactly the same thing myself. A bit warmer here in Bang Saray.

'Madur' brand 'English Breakfast' tea, sunshine, and a view over the whole Chiang Mai valley...  I love mornings!

😱With some of the plumbing in Thailand I don’t think I would comfortable on the loo with the thought of a snake arriving around the U bend. 🫣

Agree.

Want as much green as possible.

Too much concrete wasteland in BKK, Chiang Mai, etc

There is very little concrete where I live in Chiang Mai - mostly rice fields in one direction and mountains in another.  It's six kilometers to the nearest highway. The predominant color is green and there are multitudes of birds.

I have been like that for a while.  But not about snakes.   I watched a youtube video of a large spider in a toilet.

You could not see the spider at first, then the guy would flush the toilet and it would wash downward from underneath the rim.   It ran on the water rushing down from the rim holes. As soon as the water stopped flowing into the bowl, it would run up the bowl back under the rim and disappear.

I have been bitten by several spiders (non of the deadly ones) and the bites hurt A LOT for a few minutes!   Can't imagine how much it would hurt to be bitten on my ding dang a ling!

I see lots of green out the window of our condo though.   Its on the river and the opposite side has trees, water hyacinth growing.   Nice but those country views are better.
