Ditch the old phone?

Featured Replies

I have a not-so-smart phone, which I repurchased a few years ago due to changes in our system. Some problems are that the phone does not receive messages, only when I restart it

Can it be fixed, or do I need a new one? I do not want to spend heaps of money on an I IPhone.Adding to your information, I am in the West now.

I had been using a VIVO for 6 years, just got a new one 4 months ago - a VIVO 5G at discount thru AIS ( contract discount )....Can also buy online at LAZADA.

Quit being a cheap Charlie, enjoy a smart phone and it's MANY advantages -- LEARN what it can / will do.

FREE USA TV, NETFLIX, FREE THAI TV, BANKING, BILL PAYING, VIDEO CALLS - LOCAL and INTL, many at no extra cost / free   and etc.

USE A VIRUS PROTECTION ALWAYS - free or paid.

A few years ago 🤔, those phones aren't readily available.

I'd say you purchased it a few decades ago.

You're living in Australia aren't you, no need to buy iPhone, Vivo phones are readily available in Oz and very affordable.

Smart phones for 1500 Baht you can get everywhere. And they do the job.

Wipe out old one and buy smat phone . Galaxy 2020 or 23 good options , Android Sistem n decent camera .

I have had an iPhone for years, then last week Mrs.T showed up with a new Samsung Galaxy A06 Smartphone. I am very impressed with it, and to top it all, cost 2,600bht.......

Does everything I want, camera is excellent too.

Oh, it seems a lot of places are selling at that price...🤗

I bought an AO6 as a back up phone to use a NZ Sim, very good phone and can get 5g, Huawei can be bought in Thailand, I use one a y6 pro a  few years old that does every thing.

Redmi Note 14 can be had for 4000 baht and it has all the specs of an iPhone

There are two version of Samsung Galaxy A06; one with 5G capability and one without.

@NickyLouie, don't be silly 😊

Okay @NickyLouie Post a link to the 4,000 baht iPhone killer. I asked you to not be silly, but it seems that you really want to do it. So back up your statement with a link to the price and specs. I'm guessing that you won't be able to come up with the goods.

Are you using your parents Aseannow account again?

Free US TV while located in Thailand. Are you using VPN ? If ,yes, which one.

I am trying to get full coverage of the Wanda Athletics Diamond league and World championship. All I can get is 8 minute highlights on YouTube.

What is causing you to hold back and buy a good smartphone? Is money that tight for you, are you tech phobic, or do you just like your inconvenient antique?

5G is new and zoomy and sounds appealing, but is there an affordable data plan that can really take advantage of it in Thailand before you're up against a data limit or severely throttled back?  Last time I looked, any plan that could take advantage of real 5G speed was eye watering spendy.

I just bought a the  Samsung Gallaxy S24 3 weeks ago,  im told its the top model,  and for me it  was very expensive..

,..

Already a problem,  albeit a small one, but at 30,000 + Baht  I dont expect any problems  this early on .

.

The local Phone shops  dont know,  &   even Samsung are a bit confused with it ... the phone will not delete  any photos I've taken,............ so back to where I bought it to see what they say

From the internet:

Why is my Samsung gallery not deleting photos?

Are you backing up your pictures to Samsung Cloud? If so then the image that's showing up on the phone is the one that's actually stored in the cloud. You need to remove it from there as well.
