Three people were injured in a collision involving a Bolt motorcycle taxi, a Russian tourist and a foreign motorcyclist on a big bike on Jomtien Second Road.

Emergency services from Sawang Boriboon Rescue Centre were dispatched to the scene at approximately 22:00 on the 5 August, along with Pattaya City Police investigator Pol. Sub-Lt. Chainares Pengkaen and a medical team from a local hospital.

At the scene, rescue workers found a badly damaged motorcycle lying overturned in the right-hand lane near the central reservation. Nearby, the injured Bolt rider, identified as 23-year-old Jetsadapornpong, was found lying on the road. His Russian passenger was also injured, suffering from chest trauma and back pain due to the impact.

Approximately 300 metres away, a big bike, was found wrecked in the middle of the road. Its foreign rider, whose identity and nationality have not yet been confirmed, sustained critical injuries. Paramedics administered first aid before rushing all three injured parties to nearby hospitals for treatment.

According to eyewitnesses, the Bolt driver had been carrying the Russian passenger before making an illegal right turn across a zebra crossing, designated solely for pedestrian use and controlled by traffic lights. The rider allegedly ignored traffic regulations and attempted to cut through the pedestrian median to reach a condominium on the opposite side.

At that moment, a big bike travelling at high speed collided directly with the Bolt motorcycle. The force of the crash was so severe that the big bike rider was thrown violently, landing against a palm tree on the central reservation.

Police are now reviewing footage from nearby CCTV cameras to confirm the exact cause of the crash. Legal proceedings will follow based on the evidence gathered.

The exact cause has just been explained in the previous paragraph.

Need to start jailing these dangerous riders that have no regard for other road users.

It also highlights the danger of using these Bolt and Grab bikes. Most of them cannot ride properly or safely.

It was the passengers fault. if he had not hired the it the taxi would not have been there.

There's a u turn just past the big bike in the photo. Why didn't the Grab idiot go to do a u turn there instead of illegally using the zebra crossing point.

We all know the answer.

A young Thai near here did the same 2 years ago and lost both his legs to a Fortuner that kept on going. Early 20s and is pushed around in a cheap wheelchair by his grandmother everyday now. That's the rest of his existence.

The Bolt driver was clearly in the wrong, but don't forget " a big bike travelling at high speed". We don't know how fast he was going in the 60km zone.

Until Thai drivers (of any vehicle) and speedsters of any nationality come to fear the law being upheld by the invisible police, the mayhem will continue.

There was a Brit expat lost both legs last week in Bangkok, big bike rider. Not seen it mentioned on AN  yet

Another hit and run.

National sport for the cowardly scum on the roads here.

Here in Pak Kret, they do this regularly, even with pedestrians in the Zebra crossing, it's insane! If the RTP can do nothing about simple violations, at the very least they should go after Wrong Way drivers, illegal U-Turning by motorcycles, failing to stop at a STOP sign / Red Light. I mean go after the most serious offenses, ones that put people at risk the most.

macaques don't like traffic rules
this prevents them from jumping from branch to branch

If he stayed in Russia this would never happened.
