Funny you should say that......went into a bar where I'd be seeing a girl occasionally, but she was sat with someone....no biggy.

I sat down at the bar and another girl came over. The girl I'd be 'seeing'.......shot over, pushed here away, grabbed me and said...

"Don't talk to her, she's a dirty girl"..........555

She protecting her ATM....55555.

Nah. If you're protecting a woman from being beaten, you don't get a prison sentence. Especially a Thai woman being attacked by a farang. Who cares if she started it? You're not allowed

  • Lady started the fight, clearly visible in the video that she grabs him in the throat.

What he did wasn't thuggery. He simply tossed the Brit aside to stop the confrontation, saving the woman from more possible damage. I would have done the same thing and have a few times. And have witnessed it many times also, going to and working with clubs. No excuse to punch a woman unless she's in the act of hurting a child, and even then it's still easier to just deflect . A man walks away. This is a bar girl and even less of a reason for him to fight over her. It's not his woman but just his turn. The Brit landing like he did wasn't intentional as we can see. he just pulled him away and threw him to the ground.

I hear you however in the heat of the moment she assaults him! And rightly or wrongly he reacted!

Whilst I dont disagree with the customer intervening, there was no reason to blind side him when throwing him out!

He could have stepped in between.

He could now be in trouble if the MIB take the view the assault involved in removing the guy involved too much force.

Just my take on the video evidence.

In the USA, women want to be treated equally and lately they have been getting just that. Karens hit men. Men knock their butts out.  I dont know what words were said to make her go full blown fight club but in the USA they would say that she got what she asked for.  But here the women are still physically treated with kit gloves and are off limits to being hit unless it is another bird. Then they can beat the <deleted> out of each other. The problem is now a days you can't tell the women from men and visa versa... "It's a Mad Mad World!"... 🙄

Senselesslly  attacking others.

Punished by someone else.

Justice served.

Salute to the brave bystander.

Another case of instant karma.

One American customer, seated nearby, was unable to stand by and watch. He stepped in to stop the attack and, in the scuffle that followed, forcefully threw the British man out of the bar, with him falling to the ground. The suspect hit the pavement hard, sustaining a broken arm, a gash to the eyebrow and facial bleeding.

Emergency services arrived shortly after and the injured man was taken to hospital for treatment. Police have stated they will conduct a full investigation once he is well enough to be interviewed and have pledged to ensure justice is served fairly for all parties involved.

----------------

What the he'll he means by "justice"?

He was the aggressor himself repeatedly punching someone weaker than him.

And he was tossed out of the bar by someone who couldn't ignore his violence.

" Justice" is already served.

Salute to that brave bar patron who saved a bar girl from the drunk aggressor.

Good to see American sense of justice well demonstrated.

when the man, reportedly intoxicated, spotted his former partner, a female bar employee, tending to other customers. Overcome by jealousy, he began shouting and physically assaulting her in full view of other staff and patrons.

What he did, was fully watched,  and documented in camera.

All used as the evidence against him if he goes to any court.

According to that article, it was that man who started an altercation with the bar girl.

So he is guilty.

The uk media has name the man as George Lilley, 66, from Leeds, West Yorkshire.

From the Daily Mail - “Shocking moment British tourist, 66, is left with a broken arm when he is thrown to the floor after getting into a fight with Thai bar girl and punching her in the face”

Thank you for your follow-up post.

So he is already making a headline back home?

As a shame to the nation, beating a  bar hostess, out of his senseless  "jealous".

All we seeing in the video

The bar girl angry old man, she takes a choke grip on the old man, and he gets up in rage and hits her in the face instead of trying to leave. Mistake nr one

The stupid American gets involved, and S happens, the old man brakes his arm.

That’s it, another normal night in Pattaya or wherever you go drinking in a big city, or even a small village. Nothing to see, nothing to write about

You hit, meaning punch like that, in the US, and you're going to jail, period, ,especially if there's video evidence. Women are hit in every country by those thinking they're men, and in civilized countries, the men are arrested. What she did was wrong, but it didn't warrant that type of retaliation.

Yep, I've heard about it here. You try and stick up for the girl and she attacks you. A different world so you have to weigh it out fast. In the US it isn't that way as far as I've ever seen.

I don't think that is true.

Ask a cop why they hate calls for domestic squabbles.

Often the victim turns on the cops.

Obviously being thrown to the ground caused the broken arm. The American used minimal force I don’t see a problem with that. The facial injuries camera from being glassed by the woman in self defense, but looks like she started the initial confrontation.

Domestic couples maybe, but this is a different scenario. Non-related women and a man who hits her Women here are considered secondary from birth, so that has many men thinking they can do whatever they want and get away with it, and they do. In the US you're prosecuted for any assaults against women. I have heard of some women who attack cops when they're called to the house, but it is more likely they are looking for help to stop their men from attacking them, and are happy when they're arrested. Not always of course as some are gluttons for punishment and or used to being victimized from childhood.

So who caused the Hospital treatment  ?

Largely caused by gravity and the intoxicating effects of alcoholic beverages.

Thrown to the ground? Hardly.

Why do so many elderly expats behave like jealous lovesick teenagers? Especially in Pattaya.

This lout punched a working woman who was 27 years younger than him in the face.  Give the hero who restrained him a medal and consider incorporating IQ tests and mental screening into the retirement visa process.

Sometimes I am ashamed to be British.

He is assaulted by the girl first in the cctv video. Clear as day.

Nobody is entitled to hit anybody unless in self defence, that includes women.

Back in the UK all it would take was someone I did not know to just threaten me with violence and it was an immediate sore face. This goes back to my school days. I was no hardman and would never go outside if someone challenged me, it is only common sense as the person who challenged me knows he is going to win, maybe even with the help of other people.

Nothing ever good happens after 1.30 am.

That is not what I saw on the video.

The drunken Brit (according to the OP) attacked his EX partner for doing her job  and only stopped the fight after a period of time.

\

As a Brit who has frequently been drunk in my younger days, should I feel sorry and support my fellow Brit, or support the American who stopped the Brit and threw him out of the bar.

My support goes to the American who stood up for the girl.

I despise anybody who can't accept rejection and move on with their life.

I wonder who paid the Brits medical bill? I would think it would be unlikely he would have had a lot of money on him at that time in the morning.

Agree totally, she should be charged with assault looked like a glass of something thrown in his face as well.
