The people who voted for Trump used to worry about hostile federalized police and the Government taking away their guns!  Now, the FBI, ICE and a federalized National Guard are literally taking over a city and seizing firearms!  But instead of admitting that their worst nightmare is coming true, they are cheering it on.

Can Magas spell 'cognitive dissonance?' 🤔

Depends what "news" you're talking about. Unlike some on here I give MSNBC a miss. As for "I'm going to Russia" as I said it's a freudian slip, misspoken or nuance . What it clearly ISN"T is evidence of dimentia. With one more word inserted it would be clear. "I'm going to meet Russia". Obviously "I'm going to meet Putin in Alaska" is the ideal sentence but this is just grasping at straws by all that look for the smallest thing to have a go a Trump with.

This is just more low-information Trump in action.

His opinion on any issue depends on who presented him with a 30-second soundbite, preferably with simple graphs in primary colors, in the last hour.

Really? Maybe you can support your claim that he has dimentia as this is what you're saying.

Do people feel safe in DC? As for crime being down 36% what types of crimes? Have some crimes been downgaded so they no longer show on crime stats? Theft of goods under a certain amount for example. Are people especially youths committing crimes but the justice system lets them off with no criminal conviction? Last year there were 187 homicides in a poulation of just over 700,000. Australia July 2023-July 2024 there were 277 homicides. Population 27,000,000.

If only some logic were to be applied to where extra support might be required in places where crime is increasing rather than in places where crime is falling.............

Memphis, Tennessee
– Significant rise in violent crime, especially homicides and aggravated assaults.

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
– Increase in property crime and domestic violence incidents.

Albuquerque, New Mexico
– High rates of burglary and auto theft; overall crime index remains elevated.

Mesa, Arizona
– Notable uptick in robbery and assault cases.

Colorado Springs, Colorado
– Rising property crime and drug-related offenses.

Alas the real problem is the progressive judicial system. What's going to happen now is illegal acts in DC will actually result in actual legal consequeces no matter if you're 15 or 50.

Do ya ever think residence of DC & surrounding areas will ever be safe from Dem's bad radical policies, such as creating  Sanctuary havens for criminals?

Crime is increasing in line with punishment decreasing. Criminals are emboldended by this. I just don't get that someone can go into a shop, steal goods under a certain amount of cost and it's fine. Zero consequence for theft. It's insane as as I said it emboldens the thieves to reoffend. This is meant to be progressive. You talk about logic well logic tells me this is regressive not progressive.

Here's a perfect example and it's from DC. It's madness.

DC Judge frees teen who shot man on Metrobus, sparking outrage from interim US Attorney for the District of Columbia

WASHINGTON, D.C., USA — A 19-year-old former college football player who shot a man in the chest on a crowded Metrobus in March walked free from court this month after a judge suspended his entire prison sentence under Washington, D.C.'s Youth Rehabilitation Act.

Javarry Peaks pleaded guilty to felony counts of aggravated assault while armed and possession of a firearm during a crime of violence after video showed him pulling out an unregistered handgun and shooting the victim on the bus. The victim survived after being treated by EMS at the scene.

But D.C. Superior Court Judge Rainey Branch stunned prosecutors by suspending Peaks' entire four-year prison sentence and three years of supervised release, instead sentencing him only to probation under the Youth Rehabilitation Act.

Consequence for shooting someone in the chest? Zero. This is progressive "justice".

Ok. Fair enough. So what's the point of going on about Trump's daily "verbal gaffs" which of course is something you haven't supported. What's your point. What are you saying. Trump makes some mistakes when speaking? So what. It's his actions that's defining his 2nd presidency.

Sunbeam, I have watched his hilarious campaign vids, BS, lies and gaffs, that it seems millions of your lot took no notice of, and are now losing their jobs, being chucked out of the country, losing Medicare and assistance but making those like him wealthier..😬

Upsetting the world order with threats, then backtracking, as he has done today with tariffs.

The bloke just has not got a calooooooo, being laughed at by other countries because of it.

But you carry on, remember, I am not the only one that reads your protectionism and....🤣

Trump learned a lot from his Apprentice first term!

Use the National Guard to protect Federal Assets! The new federal assets are the

Metropolitan Police Dept..

Just like his admin used the NG to stop the radical dem footsoldiers from burning down federal buildings in LA  and assaulting the LE around Federal Buildings.

@dinsdale A 'Freudian slip' means you said what you really meant. He could have corrected himself after the first time. But TWICE in the same speech?

I'm sure that you love at least some of the things he is doing, but him calling Alaska, Russia...how do you feel about that? Okay with it being given away, so that he can lay claim to Greenland?

Lets hope so...like storming the capitol and beating up cops and threatening to hang mike pence?

Were those people not prosecuted and incarcerated?

You are correct. Doesn't mean it's anything else than grasping at straws though. It was a huge press conference (I watched it live) and certainly noticed this slip up (twice) and what came to mind was "this will trigger the sufferers". Not exactly my thoughts but the censorship algorithm won't allow what actually sprang to mind. I think this is just a distraction to change focus that a meeting is actually happening. Biden wouldn't or couldn't do it and neither could the EU.

All of the sudden, the left is concerned about using ‘stats and logic” in law enforcement.

How about eliminating no cash bail?

How about incarcerating criminals that violate gun laws?

The Mayor Bowser is complaining while Sanctuary policies , crime bail out, no consequences for juvenile crime have become a crisis in DC and other Cultural Marxist communities in my country.

@dinsdale It seems that your mind is made up to ignore everything, no matter how glaring the evidence.

Like someone telling you your wife is cheating, but you REALLY not wanting to believe it.

A meeting without Ukraine involved is not a meeting, but collusion. Carving up territories without giving the people living there a choice. The truth is always right in front of your face, if you care to look. Look around...see what is happening. It's not just Ukraine...

Truth be told Bowser has to deal with a city Counsel of radical Cultural Marxist If ya like Safety First, the feds have to take it back.

Googleai

Yes, the District of Columbia (D.C.) is run by a city council called the Council of the District of Columbia. It is the legislative body for the District and consists of 13 members.
