Starmer's Chagos Betrayal: Costs Soar 10x Higher Than Expected!

You might want to read up on the matter.

Focus on ICJ Ruling.

What you call a 'ruling' was actually an advisory opinion.

Mauritius has never governed The Chagos Islands and has no valid claim to them.

Better let the true Chagossian people have their own small country, or protectorate, if they prefer.

The cost of taking land that doesn’t belong to you.   Mark it up against the vast wealth the UK received from empire and charge it under the ‘should have let it go sooner’ column.

The fact that Starmer lied to Parliament is completely lost on you.   £3.5 Billion to almost £35 Billion is not a slip of the tongue or a misdemeanor. It is criminal.

Because of the fact it was unlawfully stolen and its people brutalised........in secret, and at the American's behest which is reprehensible. Admit it most of you had never heard of it until recently, but a few brave people have been campaigning for their rights back for years. John Pilger in particular has been exposing and writing about it for years in several excellent books and one excellent documentary.

This is why we are giving it back, because it is the right thing to do. Nothing to do with balls, everything to do with being human. And I would say Starmer is showing bigger balls by actually doing this when all previous leaders have shied away from it.

And the cost?? Giving an entire nation back and giving a small glimmer of hope to the people who were unlawfully expelled from their homeland that they might one day be allowed to return (but that looks unlikely at the moment as America still pulls the strings) costs about one half of the useless HS2 which will get people from London to Birmingham about 15 minutes faster than they do today, in about another 12 years.

Mauritius never owned the Chagos Islands, so giving them back actually means giving them away.

The Chagossian people are not interested in being Mauritian.

Do they? Do you often chat with Ukranian male escorts? I'm happy for you, you do like diversity after all.

Really stupid comment.

They just happened to set fire to 2 houses and a car, that are all connected to Starmer.

I don't know the reason, I could guess at the reason, and it would have nothing to do with

However much I got, Rachel from Accounts would slap taxes all the way back and I would end up worse off. 😆

Starmer lied to us telling us all he will cut Taxes, we will be better off under Labour if we vote for us he told us. We believed him within a week Taxes were risen cost of living Spriralled, he killed Pensioners by cutting there winter fuel payments, he is taking money from benefits, the older invalid people rely on, he has allowed a two tier police state, and locked up people for speaking up. He has done nothing to smash the Boats, he has watched our vets get turfed out of there homes and replaced them with illegals. We demand a General Election now the wheels are in motion. When he or his cronies are nailed on PMQs he just blames the Tories again and again all we here is a 20 billion blackhole inherited from the Tories, well he has a lot to answer now lyeing to us again about the Chagos deal. We will have to foot the Bill with the next Autum budget in more taxes another lie saying there will be no more taxes.

Stargazing Starmer must have gone to Trumpets deal making academy to gain the knowledge of how to give a territory away and still cost you £35b, that's the winter fuel allowance gone again and Rachel with another pothole 🤔

And Brexit has cost us billions, for what ?  So we're no longer in the room that collectively makes decisions. We're now outside of that room, being subjected to following the rules made by those in that room.

Starmer was a remainer and is trying to sneak us back in. HE's already got his foot in the door.

Have I heard of it? 2011 I was at D Gar for 4 months and awhile later I flew in and did another 4 months there. The fact is bad things have happened throughout history. Are we supposed to right all wrongs? An impossible task.

Today Diego Garcia is a strategic military base.

One grab's another's land ?

Then one has to pay.

Case closed.

reality is and has been for a long time, the country is broke financially and no one wants to pay what it would really cost for "good" anything
