Ricky Jones,not guilty.

Featured Replies

Well, well well.Who would have guessed that Councillor Ricky Jones would have been found not guilty of “encouraging violent disorder “?

This story started about a year ago when 3 little girls were murdered and many more injured by a knife wielding “Welsh choirboy “

As the British people took to the streets and social media to protest.Lots of these people were rounded up,charged and imprisoned within a few days. One of those people,a lady named Lucy Connolly was send down for 31 months for a tweet that she deleted 4 hours later.By the way Lucy had never ever been in trouble with the police and was only a housewife and mother.

Meanwhile Labour Councillor Ricky Jones took to the streets with his mob and called for “slitting the throats “ of so called “right wing protesters “ for which he was found not guilty when it is all on film.

By the way,Lucy is a white lady married to a conservative councillor.

Ricky Jones is a black Labour councillor.

2 Tier justice anyone?

All part of broken Britain.

I'm sure him being a black man, had nothing to do with this verdict. :whistling:

No, not "two-tier" justice at all.  Jones was acquitted by a juror.  Connolly pleaded guilty and her sentence was upheld on appeal.  Had Connolly gone to trial, she too might have been acquitted.

Well, well, well. Suspended Labour councilor Ricky Jones was acquitted of encouraging violent disorder on August 15, 2025, after a speech at an anti-racism rally where he called for “slitting the throats” of far-right protesters. The court found him not guilty, likely because the legal threshold for incitement to violence—intent and likelihood of immediate violence—was not met. The incident was recorded, but context, intent, and legal definitions matter in court rulings.

Lucy Connolly, wife of a Conservative councilor, was sentenced to 31 months for a tweet inciting racial hatred, which she deleted hours later. The tweet followed the tragic murder of three girls in Southport, falsely attributed to a Muslim asylum seeker, fueling public unrest. Connolly’s lack of prior criminal history didn’t negate the severity of her post, which was deemed to incite racial hatred during a volatile period. Her sentence reflects the UK’s strict laws on hate speech, especially amid public disorder.

The differing outcomes for Jones and Connolly don’t inherently prove a "two-tier" justice system. Legal charges, evidence, and context—Jones’s acquittal hinged on the specifics of incitement law, while Connolly’s conviction reflected the impact of her tweet during a tense period—drive judicial decisions, not necessarily race or politics.

Comparing the two oversimplifies complex legal processes and risks fueling division without evidence of systemic bias. Courts evaluate cases individually, and public perception of unfairness doesn’t always align with legal realities.

No.  Two Tier Justice is when the authorities like judges, police, the government and  its legislation are thought to be using different criteria depending on who they are dealing with.  In this case it was a jury consisting of members of the public that decided he was not guilty.

She was advised to plead guilty by the police so she would get a lighter sentance.

Unless she was completely stupid, she should have taken the advice of her lawyer, not the police, who in any case, are not allowed to give such advice.
