His apt. is $400 a month so after that he lives on $250. So, a little more then $8 a day?   Sounds like he is alive, but I would not call that living an enjoyable lifestyle especially at his age.  Not for me anyway.

good & healthy eating is a lot more expensive.

So with the student style room you'd have $500 to spend every month.

Which is slightly more than Thai chain store workers are paid.

I think many of the posters on this topic are looking at their own life style. Bars and girls most days. Obviously this guy is not like that and you could live quite well on the money if you really wanted to.

No way. Impossible to live a decent life on 650 USD.

 

If accomodation is 400 to 500 USD, which is realistic, that leaves you with 150 to 250 USD. Impossible to live on that.

Banh me is about $1, it is exceptionally cheap, and as he says he eats fruit which is very cheap, $8 a day is more than enough...he likes reading, that's free, he likes walking, that's free..seriously I don't know what you spend your money on???...except steaks and burger king...the only thing he says he comes to BKK for treatment so would assume that is not included

Life is not just noodles and pineapple I'm afraid. There's electricity bills, petrol for the car, car hire, health insurance, internet, haircuts, dental check ups, gym, Lazada, massages, supplements, I mean...I spend 50 bucks on fruit alone per month.

   Elena from Bucharest living in Bayswater didn't have any tattoos or a nose ring and fifty quid for 30  minutes is comparable to Thailand
