Got a chance to watch a bunch of YouTubes in Bangkok last week.  Normally, I can't because they're blocked here.  So I also download like a fiend, to watch them over the next 3 weeks or so before my next BKK visit.

 

One of my favorite topics last week was the situation in Huntington Park, CA, where the town center pretty much shut down because most of the residents (by some counts) are in the country illegally.  So they're either afraid to come out, or they're remigrating. 

 

On one hand, I feel for the business owners, but they let their town build an entire economy around people in the country illegally.  It's happening all over California and it shows in their deficit spending.  Richest state in the country, and they can't balance a budget.

Thanks for bringing up Huntington Park,it's sad for those business owners, but it shows the mess from building economies on unvetted, illegal migration. California's deficits prove the point: richest state, yet can't balance the books because of sanctuary policies and woke enforcement.

The USA's still struggling to make it right after almost 250 years of building, 'We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence". Sounds good, but California’s & other cities in Blue states, sanctuary policies and woke enforcement negate that vision.

2020 saw the highest voter turnout on record, 65.3%. 2024 dropped off to 63.9%.

Mass migration of people with no bankable value, are hurting the image and interest of the other migrants who are fully integrated, earn good revenue, own companies, create jobs etc. 

 

One would be surprised on the large amount of US residents who were migrants and are supporting Trump's policies on clearing up the areas.

 

Another point to ponder would be the so-called pure american born etc etc...how did his ancestors come to the USA and they did not have any US status at the time. They were as much migrants from Europe as those now mainly from Latin America down South.
