Ukraine's attack on the RUssian oil infrastructure is a shade of the Allied bombing of Germany in WW2.   In late 1944, the Allies concentrated on German oil infrastructure, which the German leadership admitted after the war was the nail in the coffin.

He did. He was wrong. Indeed Russian troops could have been pushed back across the border. This didn't happen. Russian troops stasbalised and it became the war of attrition it is now with Russian forces slowly advancing although this is now speeding up. Still a slow grind but a grind that's gaining more territory every day now.

Prior to 2014 coup, it was shown regularly on western TV, especially the BBC, how ingrained Nazism was in Ukraine. But when the drive to join the west started, all the archives went missing. Fortunately some are still about. But not on You Tube.

The goal changed at this point.  The initial goal was to make Ukraine a vassal state of Russia.  Putin wants the USSR back.
