Oh dear, touched a nerve have I by picking on your lickle wickle flagy waggy?

Please don't try and twist my words, my meaning was clear. I said they went to war and died protecting the country - they did not do it for a flag, they did it for their country. If you are too dense to understand the difference then there is no hope for you.

And now calling me a homosexual, what a class act you are. Childish beyond belief, but every thread is the same, you just insult people and bring nothing to the argument.

Bullochs !  On the battlefield the flag is there country.

From the trenches in France, to Burma, Singapore, Normandy the deceased veterans would be disgusted in you and your attitude towards their flag.

But then, you have no pride in yourself so why would you have pride your country’s flag.

You truly are a disgrace.  Not an insult.  A fact.

Quote me calling you a homosexual.

  • It's illegal to burn anything in national parks unless in designated areas. Lafayette Park is covered by this law.    This numbskull could have burnt smelly socks and still been arrested. Su

   OK .

This would have made it more apparent

Go for it. Don't burn the original manuscript, but if they  want to set fire to a reprint, off  they go - it is worthless and there are millions of them. It should be their  right to burn it as a form of symbolic protest if they wish, same as your flag.

Yes, I believe in free speech and anyway, everything’s made up countries, languages, this internet malarkey, religions… and I just made that up. Even Thailand’s made up, it’s really just Siam with cats/and or pussy.

No, they did not die for a flag. They died protecting the country from invasion. Do you not see the difference? A flag is a bit of cloth, nothing more, nothing less, no one has died for a flag. No one would go to war over a flag. It is a bit of cloth, do what you like with it.

What is your weird obsession over it?

What about patriots wearing it on their shoes that trample on dirty pavements, mud and puddles, and maybe a bit of dog poo here and there?

What about patriots wearing it where it touches their dirty arses, possibly getting skidmarks on it? A year in prison for them now?

Are you that desperate to show yourself off in Speedos and heels?

Save the floor show for the privacy of your home.  Nobody wants to see you like this.

Oh dear, he's off on one again, triggered.

I have read several autobiographies of WW2 veterans, and of SAS and SBS veterans, they commonly speak of their love for their country and their willingness to die for it, but not for a piece of cloth. You can't get that through your head can you, you just get triggered.

For example, "I didn’t fight for a piece of cloth. I fought for the guys to my left and right.”

Maybe tell your own veterans (one who had his legs blown off in battle) that they are disgusting and a disgrace. Go on, off you go. Wrap yourself in your flag before you do it - they'll love you for it. This is from 2004 when they wanted to introduce a flag desecration amendment, all these brave WWII and Vietnam veterans universally opposed to banning flag burning as it is just a bit of cloth. Read their words, they are powerful. If they are still alive today they would be aghast at what is happening.

The guy was arrested for lighting a fire. Had he taken his shirt off and lit it on fire, he could be arrested as well.

I imagine one could be arrested for lighting a cigarette.

You can burn your own flag, in areas where lighting fires are permitted. You can't steal a flag and burn it, you can't burn a flag that is public property, and you can't light fires where fires are not permitted.

As I stated before.  A disgrace.

Walk into a UK veterans hall or one of the UK veterans groups in Thailand and spout off your vile attitude towards THEIR flag.

Make sure you have someone video the confrontation.  We will all have a laugh as you get tossed out the door head first.

You want me to tell wounded veterans they’re a disgrace?  No way because they’re not.  You’re deflecting again.  This is about you, not them.

You certainly are a disgrace and I’ll tell you here or directly to your face.

BTW:  you left out the quote you were lying about.

Flags carry deep emotional resonance. In the U.S., Old Glory represents 250 years of history, military sacrifice, and national unity,

250 years.

So much fake patriotism in America and I would guess that Trump is one of the greatest of the fake patriots. I'd be curious how many people who consider themselves to be patriots in the US, have passports and have ever been outside of the United States?

I would also be curious how many of them would put their lives at risk in a war, if the situation called for it. We know Trump nor Vance would. Or send their sons or daughters overseas, to sacrifice their lives or limbs? It is very easy to say you're a patriot, when there's nothing at stake.

Standing for the pledge is an artifice created by the war department in 1942, to drum up patriotism for  enlistments. It was perhaps required at that time. It has since been highly politicized and is not necessarily a symbol of patriotism.

Trump was offended by the military. Unlike the coward who got 5 deferrments when his nation asked him to serve, the military men and women consistently put their own lives on the line. Don cannot relate to self sacrifice. So, he belittles them, betraying his own lack of dignity. That is just who he is. The ultimate lowlife. McCain was a hero. Don has always been a coward.

Real Americans? Is that some sort of secret language for white men? Color hating folks, who think the past was unbelievably great? When American prospects were HUUUGGGE? Explain your version of real American to me.

I am an American, but I guess I am a traitor, since:

1. I do object to kids being locked up in cages, away from their folks.

2. I think American industry invites, and wants illegal immigrants to work for them (surprise, surprise).

3. I think it is ridiculous to talk about illegal immigration if you are incapable or unwilling to discuss reform of the legal immigration system, which is dysfunctional and completely broken. Nobody touches that one.

4. I think protecting public lands and having respect, rather than disdain for nature, is a GOOD thing.

5. I think that a woman should have the right to decide what to do with her body, and be able to choose abortion, when she is unwilling to care for the child (the last thing in the world this planet needs is another child).

6. I believe that long held alliances and treaties deserve respect. Same applies to foreign leaders. And I believe showing animosity toward close allies, while coddling dictators is just bad policy, or the ample demonstration of no policy.

7. The state department needs to be bolstered and protected, not decimated. Those 40 plus ambassadorships, that remain vacant need to be filled quickly.

8. I believe the last thing we need right now is more division and hatred.

9. Free trade is a positive thing for the US economy. Trade wars are infantile, unnecessary, and could result in a significant slowing down of the American and world economy, which would be the end of the Trump era.

10. I believe that the National Guard and the US Armed Forces should never be deployed to the streets of America, except under the most dire of emergencies.

11. I consider masked ICE officers who kidnap people from their homes or places of employment, and are unwilling to show any form of identification, to be conducting a form of domestic terrorism.

Trump is like a whiny 6-year-old kid who hasn't been able to get his way for a very long time, compared to a giant like Kennedy who inspired millions and dramatically improved life in America. Or a patriot like McCain, who risked life and limb for his nation.

He is a felon, a tax evader, a bank fraudster, a scammer, and the ultimate election denier. He personifies a total lack of dignity, leadership, and decency.

Burn the Koran and Bible as they are just bits of paper ?

Its the same, or at least similar to a 100 dollar bill?

Physically, a $100 bill is a piece of paper—specifically, a cotton-linen blend with security features like microprinting and embedded threads. But its value lies in what it represents: a unit of currency backed by the U.S. government’s credit, accepted for goods, services, and debts.

Yes you did use the Mona Lisa as an example. And a very inapt one. If someone buys a work of art and wants to burn it, that's their right. Of course, a very tiny percentage of works of art are very valuable and to burn them would be a crime against property. Still, if the Pope wanted to, I guess he could have a blow torch applied to the pornography that graces the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel.

And why not burn the Koran or the Bible? Are you suggesting that there should be laws against that, too?
