This red notice was taken down several years ago.

Try to keep up.

What makes you think that there isn't one in effect right now, do you have access to the whole Interpol data base?

But try to keep up, the assertion to which I was responding was that no red notice had ever been issued.

  • Yet again talking about all the people around the case. What about Boss? They know where he is, but don´t bring him home to face the charges. Just shows that some people are above the law. Disgusting

  • Run out of brown envelopes. Needing a topup.   So, watch this space for nothing to happen (yawn).

From a family worth almost 1.6 Trillion THB, I would say that the supposed payment of some 3 million baht to the family of the victim is more of an insult than a compensation.

A compensation amount that the family of the (unmarried officer with no children) agreed to.

No if there was the uk system would have had him back in Thailand years ago.

Yes, there was/is.  What makes you think that the UK would have any interest in detaining him?  You don't know that Interpol notices are nothing more than advices to member police forces?

Pol Gen Somyot is a billionaire not least due to his mysterious stock trading that took place during his tenure as police chief and amazed the market.  Under flimsy SEC rules that were changed soon after this period, listed companies were permitted to issue private placements of new stock at a discount to market price without offering pre-emptive rights to existing shareholders.  A number of smaller, little known companies, that appeared to be floundering with share prices down in the dumps suddenly started issuing such private placements and Somyot and, I think, his daughter appeared on the new shareholder lists of a number of them.  Often the companies suddenly announced good news soon after the placements and share prices soared for a while.  During this time the new shareholders sold out completely.  Somyot used to tell journalists that stock trading was a long term hobby of his and he possessed a good nose for an undervalued situation.  Some scurrilous market hacks suggested that companies were strong armed into offering placements to Somyos and lending him money to subscribe to them but they never offered any evidence for these clearly untrue and outrageous allegations.

How Thai justice really works.....

Neither man has served time in prison yet. After sentencing in April 2025, both were granted bail pending appeal, each posting a 200,000 baht bond. So while the convictions are real, their incarceration is effectively on hold until the appeals process concludes.

If they have to go to jail, Police jail will probably be on the cards, but might need leg braces or plaster casts this time as the old neck brace is probably a bit smelly now.

Age is wrong he is 33.

The world has watched this case from all corners of the globe and still to this day, no justice has been served.

No, he isn't, he's 43 now.    His date of birth is correct.

As I posted, there is no Interpol red notice for Putin, thanks for confirming that.  The execution of those (toothless sheep) warrants requires international cooperation, of which there is clearly none.

Very much so.

Even better here in Cambodia, Red Bull energy drinks (with sugar and sugar free) have disappeared from most supermarket shelves as a result of the ban on, and boycott of, Thai products.

Energy drinks are now coming from the USA, UK and South Korea along with locally canned Cambodian choices.

Two more years?....and he literally gets away with ..........won't say murder.....LL will have a fit.

Ridiculous that you categorise accuracy as "nitpicking".

If you did say it, you'd, literally, be wrong.

Funny how so many here have fits when accurate information is posted, he, literally, is not charged with, nor committed, murder.

Shame they did not ban them all

One way to demonstrate corruption is when the accused range from generals to colonels and professors. In hit and run cases I doubt if people of those calibers would be involved.

Thanks, but I won't be taking any pointers from you on forum etiquette.

What I will take, if you don't mind of course, is a chortle at the irony in your hypocritical retort and abrasive demeanor.

Only an opinion , but perhaps ease off on the deriding addendums you frequently employ to derogate from your deficient prose.

God's peace, Gottfrid.

As I said, it looks like it will take very long time. Maybe never.......

Is there an Interpol red notice for this shameless billionaire?

No...the Red Bull notice no longer exists, in fact the fact one, supposedly issued, and displayed, never actually appeared on Interpols notice site.

How do you think the RTP can "bring him home" from a country in which he is not wanted and they have no jurisdiction?

By actually issuing a red notice, you know damn well how it works, the RTP just need to actively pursue it.

Yes, thanks, Cambodia has banned all Thai drinks including the other energy drinks M-150 and Carabao.

Be careful of what Liverpool Lou says, he seems to protect the RedBull dude, he knows damn well there's no active Red Notice, there hasn't been one since 2018, possibly earlier. The 2018 one actually didn't appear on Interpols site, only displayed by the RTP.
