A Thai woman and her foreign boyfriend have filed a complaint against a Pattaya bar owner and several staff members, accusing them of a shocking late-night assault.

Angkana, 35, lodged the complaint at the Mueang Pattaya Police Station early yesterday morning. She recounted how the alleged attack unfolded at Laila Bar, located near the Marine Plaza Hotel in South Pattaya.

The couple visited the venue on the night of Wednesday, August 27. Though they opted not to engage with the bar girls, they were generous enough to buy them drinks. Trouble began when an Arab man approached, requesting to join their table. The couple politely declined, preferring to enjoy each other’s company in peace.

However, tensions escalated rapidly. Angkana claims the bar girls suddenly turned violent, launching an unprovoked attack on them with the owner reportedly joining in. Despite attempts by other patrons to intervene, the onslaught continued, she alleges.

Interestingly, Angkana asserted that the bar owner dared her to involve the police, boasting connections with a high-ranking officer, which has added a layer of complexity to the investigation.

Angkana expressed deep frustration and bewilderment over the situation, unable to fathom why the confrontation erupted in the first place. She described the ordeal as both physically and emotionally damaging and voiced concerns about its negative impact on Pattaya's reputation as a tourist spot. Her plea to the local authorities is simple: she wants justice to be served.

Police have yet to provide further details on the investigation, including when those involved will be questioned. The scant progression is leaving many, including Angkana and her partner, eager for updates.

In a rather coincidental timing, another altercation erupted in Pattaya’s bustling nightlife. An Italian man found himself embroiled in a scuffle with an Uzbek national on Walking Street. The brawl reportedly started when the Uzbek man groped the Italian man's Thai girlfriend.

Despite an early intention to drop the charges, the couple reversed their decision. The Uzbek man's lack of remorse and derogatory comments, suggesting the woman was a sex worker, fuelled their resolve to pursue the matter legally.

Pattaya, renowned for its vibrant night scene, has seen its fair share of incidents. However, these back-to-back altercations have sparked discussions about visitor safety and the need for firm law enforcement to maintain its image as a welcoming destination.

Authorities now face the challenge of handling these incidents with transparency and efficiency. The focus is not only on delivering justice but also on reassuring both locals and tourists that Pattaya remains a safe and enjoyable experience.

As the investigations proceed, many will be watching closely, hopeful for a resolution that upholds the law, irrespective of social connections or claims of influence. For now, the spotlight is firmly on the Pattaya police, with public attention demanding swift and fair action.

This just doesn't make any sense? Why would this cause a fight?

Well, if you do take a girl to that precinct I would, and most others would assume she was a sex worker. especially if she is a Thai with a foreigner.

There are probably better places to take a lady who isn’t a hooker in my opinion.

Playing pool recently, soi 7 BKK, a very rich looking Arab and his wife came in and his wife asked my wife to play pool.

They had a few games then the guy stood up to motion he wanted to go........walked over to our table, picked the bar bills and said I'll get these.

I nearly cried with happiness.

The Arab probably was not a Saudi or a Kuwaiti for him to do that.

So he assumed she was a sex worker for the same reasons outlined in Malcolm's thread? Because she had visible tattoos? And then he decided it was fair game to grope her? lol.

There are holes in this story ... no explanation why things got violent.

however, there is a rule that most men follow and that is to treat women correctly.  Just because she is a brgirl does not mean you treat her with disrespoect.

So If you war walking near a ladyboy bar and i grab your ass that is OK.

Of course not

As to the Arab he probably got pissed that he could not get the girl of his choice and decided not to stay at the bar or disrespected the girls.

Bottom line guys is simple treat them with respect Once you get them into your room if she agrees youcan treat her diferently.
