I like to pop out for a few beers late afternoon/early evening. Grab a seat and watch the world go by. Can be fascinating at that time of the day. You get the day time 'normal' workers going home after a day of graft (and I use the term very loosely) and the night life workers arriving to put in a shift. Two very different worlds passing each other by without a second glance.

This is true. My fav soi in Bangkok comes alive around 6pm. Food, people, traffic. All a buzz. Its a pity my gf hates bkk cause i enjoy it.
