Nobody is going to attack the US militarily. It's defended by two large oceans east and west. It has buffer countries north and south, although they are probably having second thoughts about being allies.

 

However, it's also busy shooting itself in the foot, with an economic war, which it is already losing quite badly. Bond yields, job figures, and inflation data are being frantically massaged to hide the truth - America is broke. Traditional enemies India and China are aligning themselves to a new economic reality.

 

No-one needs to attack America - it has become its own worst enemy.
