Jerusalem Bus Attack Horror: Pregnant Woman Among Six Dead

Sadly they willl. They may conquer Gaza and beat a people without an army, but I wouldn't want to get a bus or plane in Israel.

If they succeed in their ethnic cleansing things will get bad. I blame scumbag Israeli cabinet ministers like Ben Gvir and Smotrich for stirring up hate.

The minister of national security travelled to the holy site and prayed there with a reported group of 1,250 people. Police were pictured alongside Ben-Gvir.

Under a delicate decades-old “status quo” arrangement with Muslim authorities, the al-Aqsa compound is administered by a Jordanian religious foundation and Jews can visit but may not pray there.

When asked to describe his idea of an Israeli victory, Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich said he envisions Gaza being "completely destroyed" and its residents displaced.

Even during and after Oslo, Israel rapidly expanded settlements in the West Bank. Land meant to be part of a future Palestinian state was being carved up, making negotiations look like a cover for permanent occupation.

The Oslo process promised Palestinians progress toward statehood, but instead they saw endless checkpoints, restrictions on movement, and no end to military control.

The Second Intifada did not come out of nowhere. It erupted after years of frustration, stalled talks, and Ariel Sharon’s provocative visit to the Temple Mount/Haram al-Sharif in 2000.

A true settlement requires accountability on both sides – not just demands for Palestinian surrender.

Brilliant, balanced comment, Jim. Civilian targets on both sides never asked for this.

How many babies were actually killed.

Israel have killed more babies under 1 year old than total civilians killed on Oct 7.

https://www.savethechildren.net/news/gaza-20000-children-killed-23-months-war-more-one-child-killed-every-hour

At least one Palestinian child has been killed every hour on average by Israeli forces in Gaza over nearly 23 months of war, with the number of children killed now surpassing 20,000, Save the Children said.

Save the Children ? Say no more.

Israel (and Biden) lied about many things - 40 beheaded babies, put in microwaves, raped etc, all our Israeli propaganda.

   Not this again Jim !!!!!!!

How many times do you need to mention that ?

Israel didn't claim 40 babies were beheaded .

Palestinians did indeed murder Israeli babies that day .

How many babies they killed and how they killed them is rather irrelevant .

RIP to all the dead and a swift recovery to all the wounded.

When will all the parties involved have a change of plan and start living together peacefully?

Surely after 80 years of tit for tat attacks like this and worse, it's time to  bring some sensible people from both sides to the peace table, or do these atrocities keep happening ad-infinitum?

There is no more peaceful solution, and as we have seen in history before, the enimies must be eliminated. Methods found in the Torah, Bible and Quran, and practiced as long the humans have fighted for land and resources.

Which countries did you work and how long ago? The Middle East is diverse, and public opinion varies widely between countries, communities, and over time. Before claiming “no support whatsoever,” it is important to ask - are you fluent in the languages of the region, familiar with local media, and aware of the nuances of public opinion?

From 1978 to 1984 I was based in Ryadh heading up BP Scicon's operations there. Leading up to and during that time I was also a director of Dukhan Services Company in Doha, Qatar, and carried out work in Abu Dhabi on behalf of ADNOC and ADMA, and attended to post nationalisation issues in both Iran and Iraq. Privately I travelled extensively throughout Egypt, Syria and Lebanon. In 1984 I was transferred to Singapore, then Bangkok and finally to Taipei. I maintain contacts with many friends in the Middle East, but inevitably, and sadly with the passing of time, many of them are no longer with us.

"Imaginary Friends" on all sides is the problem, surely over 2 thousand years since some clever manipulative bastard thought this religious rubbish up it's time for the human population of the World to get with the program, there is no Supreme Being, it's all chemistry and luck.

The first step towards a permanent peace will come when all Palestinian groups recognize Israel's right to exist as a sovereign state and homeland to the world's Jews.  Once Palestinians give up the goal of destroying Israel, many things can be settled through negotiation. It seemed as if things were indeed moving in the right direction in the 1990s with the Oslo accords, the PLO's recognition of Israel and the creation of the Palestinian Authority.

However,  the refusal of militant groups like Hamas to accept the Oslo peace process and the start of the Second Intifada made Israel lose faith in a gradual peace process.  Hamas' electoral victory in Gaza and continued terrorist attacks on Israelis doomed negotiations until Hamas changed its stance; surrendered; or most likely, was destroyed.  That's where we are today and the outlook is not optimistic.

I agree with you, but that's only half the problem. Also, the first step towards a permanent peace must include the Israelis recognizing the Palestinians' right to exist as a sovereign state. If you look at how the territory was divided up in 1947, and then how it looks now, you'll see that Israel has taken over most of the Palestinians' land, and now it's saying it will take over Gaza. I suggest that, in that first step, a two-state solution be reached, which would involve a return to the original land division.

Cool,  thanks,  but but decency, a democracy, and Western values are winning. You support the terrorists so that's why you are whining. Losers always whine

What's that?  A good guy with a gun?  Stopping a bad guy with a gun...

Edit:  I'd add that the "courageous civilian" had a permit to carry a handgun legally, according to other news sources.

You do know that the terrorists were using a homemade gun too right. Gun control in the Palestinian territory apparently doesn't work.

It's breathtaking every day on AN how narrow minded people can be.

It would be interesting where I stated to support terrorists or where I was whining? Could it be you lost the track if there is any?

End of "conversation".

This is a horrific event and my condolences go out to the victims and their families. While I despise Hamas, Hezbollah and terrorism, I also despise Israel aggression and genocide, and I think at some point in time they're going to have to learn that figuring out a way to make peace with their neighbors is the only way to ensure survival. Continue aggression, and continued old Testament eye for an eye nonsense is not going to solve anything.

Having lived and worked in the Middle East for many years I can assure you that there is no support in the region whatsoever for Palestinians beyond token responses to the kind of surveys to which you refer.

I think only blindfolded would say that. There is a huge support for Palestinians in Syria and Libanon.

Maybe hardly any warm words for Israelis.

The terroist the Jews in that area would not be armed, apparently the response time used to be slow but now as you can see they were onto it right away, in the news it say a civilian shot and killed them, he was armed ex IDF soldier.
