Classic strawman, red herring, and false dichotomy. Your logic-free post actually proves my point — thanks for saving me the trouble.

Sorry for posting facts. Your side can't handle facts for some reason. A guy is shot dead and you carry on like this.

Republicans tried to force a prayer for the dead man in the house of Congress but refused to hold one for the victims of Wednesday's school shooting in Colorado. So sad.

People on both sides are now talking about stocking up on ammo and we are at war. Poor banana republic.

The point is that there has been a rhetoric of hate spewing fron the progressive left which is also reflected by certain posters on this forum. This is undeniable.

The reality is there has been far more hateful rhetoric spewing from not only the right, but from Trump himself.

What? Too soon? Isn't that the republican line?

We have a poster here calling for a counterrevolution because of this one crime, when it isn't even known whom or why the perp did it. In the cases I noted, the motivation and inspiration was clear, at least for Sayoc, Crusius, Bowers and Hansson:  Trump.

That poster did not call for anything---either counterrevolution or changes in gun laws---after El Paso, Pittsburgh, Uvalde, Sunderland, Orlando, Parkland, or the bombs sent by Sayoc or the targets like "Pocahontas" of Hansson.

I'm waiting for Trump's usual tag line: "We have to just move on", as he said after the Uvalde School shooting (17 kids, 2 teachers) and the Ohio school shooting (2 kids killed).

To toss in another inconsistency and dollop of hypocrisy, the same posters here justifying the killing of tens of thousands of kids in Gaza are up in arms over this killing. Somehow I doubt the strength of their moral fiber. Are not ALL innocent deaths bad? Or does ethnicity obviate innocence?

Let's be consistent. Violence perpetrated by any political ideology is evil. Killing of any innocents is bad.

Let's catch the perp and prosecute.

Are those the "facts" that you want to present here???

Let me guess - you watch CNN or MSNBC

Sorry, can't buy this. A president should be trying to bring a nation together at times of great tragedy. Instead, this guy flings shade at the left. NOT an exemplary leader.

I wasn't selling it to you or anyone from the other side . Take what you want of it. Charlie is hated by the left & dems. He's consoling a nation and he's calling out the radical left hatred

College campuses are full of hate. Ben and Milo had speeches cancelled due to violence. The left can't handle free speech.

Charlie Kirk was killed by a letist extremist due to leftist extremist ideolgoical fanaticism. Anyone who claims it was anything else, a celebration shot, or one of his supporters is obviously spouting misinformatin.

Kirk was shot from a rooftop with a rifle straight into his neck. This was an assassination by the left.

I don't watch them but it was in a report in the right wing Daily Mail online. Search for "house floor shouting match".

I liked watching him on youtube shorts, but honestly I dont think the lefties will sympathise. His postsw on youtube were mainly against trans people etc... views that the lefties tend to defend...

RIP guy it was nice watching you. Too bad some dont like when others disagree with them.

I only stumbled across the guy recently on U tube but I enjoyed watching him, He spoke a lot of sense and knew his subject matter inside out. It was obvious his traditional values were going to upset a certain demographic.  I'll bet the perp was some sort of lefty nutter activist type, possibly even one of the people who appeared on his show many of whom work themselves up into an actual frenzy when he embarrases them

Wow... I just read the article on Daily Mail's website and there isn't a SINGLE WORD on there about ANYONE "demanding" anything other than the Speaker of the House demanding for order in the House.

Go ahead and continue to spread lies about things that NEVER happened.

Political assassination from the left. They missed Trump and got Charlie. These lefty idiots don't realise they just lost the next election.

Do the 6 January insurrectionists not know the Bible .. violence begets violence.

I doubt that they have time these days - rumour has it they have been co-opted into a variety of ad hoc "federal law enforcement teams".

Well that was a shock to the system I have watched his discussions on YouTube

Interesting guy knowledgeable on his subjects

RIP

Great speech by the best leader in 50 years.

No leader has fomented so much division, hate, and violence — not since Nuremberg 1934.

I DARE you to watch the video of what happened in the House today during this, so called, "force".

A Republican arose and was beginning to make a motion (which they have to vote on) to have a prayer.  Some people from the Left started screaming "NOOOOO".

Since when is a politician attempting to make a motion the same as FORCING people to do anything.

p.s.  I misspoke previously, you didn't say 'demand', you said 'force', but that doesn't change the facts of what actually happened on the House floor today

This is not the time to discuss gun laws.  And there never will be.

Oh yeah, thoughts and prayers and all the other conservative tropes that are meant to show sympathy.

It is almost 60 years since an unsuccessful assassination attempt on a politician was made in Australia, with a sawn-off 0.22.

That says a lot about the relative health of political debate in America and Australia.

A M82 Barrett sniper rifle can be legally obtained in America. Kills from 1.8 km are regarded as routine by an experienced sniper.

I don't envy anyone trying to provide security in America.

Such an idiotic thing to say when they don't even know who did it yet and the person is still at large don't you think? No obviously you don't think.

I watch the video too. There was a moments of silence for Charlie Kirk. The moment of silence devolved into a moment of chaos as a pair of Republicans called out Democrats. While every lawmakers standing up in quiet observance, Rep. Lauren Boebart broke the still of that moment by demanding a spoken prayer. Then Rep. Ann Paulina stood up and started shouting expletives at the Democrats before Speaker Mike Johnson did the right thing and graveled the lawmakers down. As one House Republican granted anonymity said "this is disgusting".
