100% renew your UK pp now.

UK pp renewal is unique and more involved than eg AU pp that can be done completely online + mail.

Anyway my understanding is that UK pp can be renewed using VSF at Bangkok or CM.

Being in Phuket IMO the use of agent would be a good option.

I'm sure there would be an agent in Phuket to assist or contact an agent in Bangkok for a chit chat.

Cheers, thanks for the info.

I have found an agency in Phuket which can do it, it saves me going to Bangkok twice.

Another question. I was out of the country for five months and got back a week ago, the last time I did that I did my 90 day reporting 90 days from when I got back but a friend who just got back after three months in the UK did his 90 day reporting in person at the Phuket immigration office straight away as he said it it now the new regulation.

Do you have any info on this?

  • You should probably file a brand new TM30 as well with the new passport number

  • The process from Document Check to Submitting Documents to passport with stamps took about 45min. Although it depends if they let you do an online appointment (I did using the "Extension Visa" re

The friend is wrong.

He may be thinking of TM30.

Even with that most offices do not require that if on same visa or reentry permit and returning to previous place of residence.

Your reentry date counts as day 1 for new 90 day count.

When did you reenter Thailand?

I arrived back on the 8th September, I did the TM30 online the next day just in case. (The house registration of my address).

That is what I though regarding the 90 day report, the count was set to day 1 when I arrived in Bangkok.

In November last year I returned to Thailand after five weeks in the UK and so 90 days after that I went to the drive though 90 day reporting center in Phuket, the officer had an expression of surprise when he saw my last report was well over 90 days but I then pointed the entry visa from November and that I was reporting 90 days after that and all was OK.

But the friend said they gave him a new 90 day report receipt when he went to the immigration office last week just six days after arriving back.

I will check with him again.

Some immigration offices do a 90 report when for example you attend for annual extension.

In reality they are not related.

You mention your last entry date..

Here is your new due date.

Window opens 15 days prior

Your starting date is September 8, 2025 so that means that 89 days later would be December 6, 2025.

Cheers, I have set a reminder on my iPhone to tell me 15 days before the end date of the 90 days, I find it is best to go earlier in case anything goes wrong, I do the same with the visa extension.

I did check with the friend and he said it was definitely the 90 days he reported a few days after his return from a three month trip to the UK.

Maybe the officer made a mistake as he looked at his last 90 report and as it was 90 days earlier he did not check the last entry into the country stamp in his passport.

That is one explanation.

While I am not exactly sure, I would hazard a guess that they can recover the entry/extension/re-entry stamps from their data base without having to request it.

The reason Bangkok has two spots is they split the free stamp/visa-on-arrival extension section and lost/stolen passport section from the main office at Chaengwattana and moved it over to IT Square Laksi, which is why you start the process of stamp recovery from lost/stolen passports there.

Most up country offices are just one office that does everything, in that office (often just a few desks 😮 ) so I'd imagine they'd be able to do it all in one fell swoop 🙂

I'd personally be nervous at chancing my arm with my local office (Rayong) in being able to recover IMM stamps from a lost or stolen passport. With this in mind what I do is to save scans of all relevant passport pages, remembering to update these at annual extension of stay time and following a trip abroad. I would strongly recommend everyone to do the same.

You get the police report, the new passport and go first to the immigration office at IT Square Laksi Plaza (even if you're recovering a year extension). 😮

There are two forms you fill out there, They will find your original entry stamp, put it into your passport.

They send you to Chaengwattana after that to recover your stamps at the section that issued your extension.

and

if you have a reentry permit from Chaengwattana you then go to that section (C-2) to recover it.

However if you had a rentry permit from the airport you have to go there to get it recovered. 😕

Sorry for the off topic comment

Great info , thanks Tod

Today I was at CW but they didnt accept the online appointment for Extension to do just the Stamp Transfer.

A stamp transfer is not an extension.

And then you making that appointment--which they didn't accept, nor should

they have--in effect blocked someone else who might have been able to book and use that slot for their extension.

There are a limited number of appointments per day (five, I believe, in the case of retirement extensions.) For any folks who are transferring stamps at CW, independent of having it done at the time of their next extension, PLEASE DON'T clog up the online appointment system's already tight scheduling for extensions by making an appointment in that category solely for the purpose of a stamps transfer.

Your comment doesn't say so I'll ask, after your appointment was declined, how was your stamps transfer handled? Did you get it done today (now yesterday) when you went there or not? If you did, how did it go?

In regard to the appointment slots being very rare, in my case of Marriage extension is not really true. Just few days ago I initially booked for 7 November. Then 2 days ago I checked again and there were a few more slots with the first one being on 30 October.
The problem seems to be more about the Retirement extension.

As the OP said he booked an online appointment and had no problem using it very recently, I wanted to share my experience: it seems it really depends on the person checking the documents at the first counter.

I had no problem with transferring the stamp yesterday after taking a new queue ticket. Just had to wait 3+ hours just because they seem to not be capable to add the stamp transfer as a reason for online appointment.
The transfer process itself takes just few mins and they didn't even look at any of the attached copies of passports/TDAC I provided (other than the transfer form itself). For Marriage they not require to see any bank books or anything else.

It shouldn't depend on doc check.

You either have an appointment for extension or you don't.

Appointments for certificate of residence previously also did not have appointment option.

Note to others: for transfer of stamps CW immigration will want updated bank book and photocopies back till previous extension for those with extension based on retirement.

Yes, that's the case. There are five appointment slots per day for extensions based on marriage, the same number of slots for extensions based on retirement.

Obviously at CW the slots for retirement extension appointments get filled early and quickly. Just did a very quick survey of the appointments page. For the next 30 days there are just two open slots for retirement extensions, and their earlier dates in November lead me to believe they are cancellations from folks who rescheduled, so the days had been fully booked earlier. All the slots that opened today, for 30 days ahead, are already filled.

For marriage extensions there are several days toward the end of November with a varying number of available times, from 1-2, one had 3, open slots per day. So the marriage extension folks aren't as affected by appointment slots being taken up by those seeking to do just a stamps transfer.

Regarding reentry permit...

If you obtain your reentry permit at airport, be aware that your immigration office will not transfer it.

Would need to be done at airport.

@DrJack54 So when I got my multiple re-entry stamp at DMK Airport I cannot transfer it at BKK Airport or at my local immigration. Do I need to go to the immigration office at DMK Airport?

Yes.

You may find out that the office where you obtained the reentry permit (just past the pp control) will transfer the stamp.

I actually just carried both pp as didn't want to lose half page of new pp + lazy to do it.
