I'm sure a cell has been spruced up for him, lets face it he's a 70+ year old infirm patient

Yes. Why is there any need to hold him in Maximum

Security?

  • No need to hear more about Thaksin now. He don´t have it worse than anybody else. He just have to suck it up after breaking the law. The guy should have much more than only 1 year.

  • I pray nothing drastic happens like him dropping the soap.

  • With a little money, he can buy comforts. extra bedding, foods, phone calls. pffft he can lessen the blow and turn the solitary confinement cell into a hotel room. Mattress and all. Guards in there in

It's what he deserves, he has a history of doing a runner, so an open prison would be inappropriate.

But there is a distinct possibility it may happen

if it didn't, he must be unique.

'In September 2006, while traveling abroad, Thaksin was ousted from the government by a military coup, and he subsequently went into exile.' Encylopaedia Brittanica

He has no history of 'doing a runner' and need not be in Maximum Security.

Staying away is the same as doing a runner...

Thaksin's initial eight-year sentence for conflicts of interest and abuse of power during his tenure from 2001 to 2006 was reduced to one year by royal clemency.

Won't prison for him be more like prison in "Goodfellas"?

Hopefully like Pablo Escobar’s

The great man deserves nothing less

His enemies deserves jail more that him

Gross miscarriage of justice

No worries he will have a health episode and be back in the prison hospital before you can say "cat in a hat"
